Oh man. I know I say this a lot but I do mean it this time! *yeah right they say* This is the funniest episode in a while and I like the "Plutonian" take on the fake Nameks. No way Teamfourstar will get sued now . . . not a chance. 8)

Episode 12 had its moments, but I'm sure they'll lead up to something nice when they arrive on Namek. Also, something I found really hilarious that some people may overlook is that in season 1, Nail says something like: "I wish something exciting would happen around here soon" - jokes.

No, I'm pretty sure when FUNimation originally dubbed ep 1-13, they used the Ocean Group voice actors. Which is what this theme is from.

There's more than one studio in Vancouver, y'know. FUNimation worked with BLT Productions and apparently recorded up at Dick & Roger's Sound Studio. Ocean Studios was used for Dragon Ball Z, and then for the International English dub Westwood Studios was.

Thank you, my fellow Washingtonian. Everywhere I look, I see people bashing The Ocean Group for things they didn't do. It's irritating.

Regarding episode 12, my favorite part was the montage. It was just all kinds of awesome. :D

Meh. It was the same cast, anyway. I don't see why it's a big deal what studio it was recorded at since there's not much room for confusion--although I initially thought you meant the DB theme was from the Westwood dub (which it isn't.)

Well neither of those companies are a recording studio. BLT's dub was recorded at Dick & Roger's Sound Studio, and The Ocean Group's dub at Blue Water Studios. But you're right, Westwood Media didn't make that song. FUNimation did.

Yeah, that's probably the only FUNimation-made opening for a DB show that I actually like (not counting dubs of japanese songs here).

Were you able to negotiate it's return? Is everyone safe? Have you defeated Toei in a fiddle contest? And the brain damage?

Sometimes, the fans need answers (and sometimes we need to stop asking annoying questions, but that's only semi-relevant to this conversation), so I thought I'd ask.

And, btw, loving Season Two thus far.

I don't think there's anything worse than intentionally ruining something done with great effort and enjoyed by a large amount of people.

I know that feeling well... because I suffered from it once and I don't want it to have it again. My newly made website got hacked and vandalized by an unknown guy, and deleted all the pages from my account. Thankfully, the main content remained as it was and he touched nothing from it, making fixing it easier to work. All what I had to do is re-upload all the pages and links I made, and change some profile informations.

I just wish YT pays more attention to what they are dealing with and not blindingly do their business without a third ((not second)) thought.

Actually, if they do it without a third thought, they've given it the second thought.... They do it without a first thought.

To regurgitate previous conversations...

Those of you wishing that YouTube/Google would take a look at what is being reported before taking it down have absolutely no idea what the DMCA is. As soon as the company starts policing material before it goes live, they risk losing their safe harbor position, and then become 100% responsible for any illegitimate content in its entirety throughout the entire website. Right now, they have limited liability due to acting as a sort of "dumb pipe" that simply accepts content, all the meanwhile providing appropriate tools to the copyright owners for them to identify and report infringing material. When something is reported by a rights-holder, they must take it down near-immediately (no questions asked or investigation made).

If you don't like this... if you feel that the "fair use" lines are becoming further marginalized and pushed aside... and especially when you start to understand the "take down first, maybe ask questions later" process that leaves virtually no real way of combating or countering what are many times illegitimate and occasionally illegal notices simply made to stifle free speech and commentary...

...please get involved in politics and specifically in copyright reform. We really need it.

Not that DBZ Abridged is valuable social commentary, or anything. Just sayin' ^_~.

Yeah, you guys. You can't be pissed at Youtube for this. The only fault this is, is Toei's, and even then they have every right to want to protect their intellectual properties through automated bots that pull down videos matching their preset algorithms.

It's annoying and inconvenient, but we ARE using their material. We're just lucky they aren't really pressed to stop us, otherwise they probably would have by now.

And HEY! Mike! We're valuable social commentary! Just look at Tenshinhan and Chiaotzu's progressive relationship, the contributions of bald midgets to society, and Mr. Popo. I'm not exactly sure how Mr. Popo qualifies, but I'm sure he does.
