Didn't I made a thread like this before like months ago? Well I have a lot, and I used to thought Garlic Jr was Emperor Pilaf father. That movie 1 was about him getting revange on his son.

Until I saw the actual series, I thought Chiaotzu really was an emperor, and Tien was his bodyguard.

I, too, thought that the Android numbers represented their ages based solely off of Androids 17 & 18, but as soon as I thought about Android 16, I quickly threw that theory out the window.

Before I watch GT, I would believe made up rumors about it from people, and stuff like beckett. I remember beleving that DBGT would be more muture, and darker then DBZ, Babidi was the one turn Goku into a kid, and Cell & Freeza would become good guys.

I also believed that Broly would escape from Hell in GT since beckett mention it before. And I thought the intro in Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout was clips from a collection of clips from a episode in GT (I played Final Bout in 2000 or 2001 before I watch the GT). I thought GT was going to be awesome when I hear all about those stuff, and I was so hype to watch it. Sadly I was wrong.

@UristtheGreat:

Aside from the dozen or so Z warriors on Earth, Mark IS the strongest fighter, he did win the title for himself.

I thought Turles at first since I thought he surrived, and the movie was about him going to Earth to find Goku since he lost his memory.

There was a clip I saw where SSJ4 Goku fires a Kamehameha at Baby-Vegeta. The light from the Kamehameha reflects back onto Goku. I thought Goku was in his base and he went SSJ when he fired the blast since the light made it look like his hair changed.

I always thought Android 16 and Gohan were best friends which is why his death would be the trigger to push Gohan into SSJ2.
Didn't Rock the Dragon end with Gokû transforming into SSJ though?

I used to think that Son Goku was a VERY consistent typo of Goku San.

Yeah but Toonami skipped the intro. You had to stay up late to catch it with the intro. By the time I saw it, I had it figured out.

Anywho, while I'm here, I might as well post some other weird assumptions I made up.

I always thought SOMEHOW Arale survived when Kid Buu blew up the Earth. I dunno how, but I just figured she was floating there thinking that big boom was cul, and eventually drifted back to Earth once it was restored.

I figured if buildings and other forms of technology were restored when Earth was wished back, then Android 16 was revived off screen at the end of the Cell Saga.

Prior to actually seeing Dragon Ball GT, I always thought Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta was actually what Super Saiyan 5 looked like, what with the opposite colors going on with his hair and fur.

I really don't see much reason why SSJ4 Gogeta can't be assumed to be SSJ5, really. It does explain his different coloration, at least. And when Goku and Vegeta fused in base in movie 11 they came out as SSJs. Granted, it's never stated (or, really, even implied) in GT, but it's never actually contradicted. And an SSJ5 is referenced at one point, I believe.

Everyone survived and probably took up residence on Mars. You can't kill gag manga characters man!

Yeah, by Vegeta, after Bulma told him about the Bruits Waves machine. Something like "Kakarrot, bring on your Super Saiyan 4, or 5, or whatever you feel like. I'm not done yet!"

I don't have any of my own that I can think of as I was a really skeptical kid, but I do remember coming across a picture once of the Saiyans in the Cell Arc are standing around in a group while, in the same picture, the same group was standing around as Super Saiyans in the background or something. The guy who posted the pic on his site said something like, "Those are their cousins," or something like that.

My assumption was that the Japanese version was inferior, boring, and dated. I still beat myself up over that mistake. I wish I watched the original sooner,I enjoyed it much more than the dub. I can almost forgive myself though, this was when I was like 11, I was a fan for a while already.
