That's what happens when you trace things without actually trying to make them look good.

It's still like something by freakin' Rembrandt compared the whatever the hell that's supposed to be in the next panel. I think it's supposed to be a hand, but that's only a guess based on it using what's most likely a keyboard.

So many wasted panels... And what is up with this artist and Trunks looking over his shoulder?

The tracings are pretty decent this time, but there is a ton of blank space because there are no backgrounds, and Trunks looks stretched vertically in the bottom left-most panel.

Wait a second... Wasted panels? Over-the-shoulder shots? Blank space? Characters looking way too tall and stringy? LAME OR NONEXISTENT BACKGROUNDS?!

Guys, I think I've figured it out. Gothax is actually Tite Kubo.

It appears that this special chapter will last for another 4 pages. After that, Gogeta Jr and the main story return.

the Funney you are trying to reach is currently out of service. Please augment punchline and try again later. :P

:S I know plenty of manga that's like this. Have you guys even READ a Shoujo manga before? Now, I'm not saying that this is Shoujo if anything, but this is a style. He just showed Sixteen waking up, moving his eyes slowly to look around, Trunks noticing him and saying his name and Android 16 responding. For the story and the characters this is probably important.

So have patience :) Good stories might take some time to tell :)

Well, in all honesty DBM is supposed to be based on a Shōnen manga, not a Shōjo manga (though, maybe there is a universe in here where Goku and co. will be able to turn into the Sailor Senshi). :P

In any case, those manga typically come out a chapter at a time as opposed to a page. So, while we're getting what, 3 pages a week here, the typical manga (in Jump, at least) gets 15-18 pages. Or at least, I'm going by what Bleach is at currently in terms of weekly pages. Point being, a page or two that isn't exactly chocked full of action or exposition can be more palatable when it isn't the only page you're getting for days at a time. ;)

The biggest problem with this artist is that he cannot convey motion whatsoever. It literally looks like each panel is just a separate, motionless drawing with no connection between them at all; it's quite jarring going from one panel to the next.

The tracings might be acceptable if they didn't look like just a bunch of slapped together drawings, and if the artist was able to make them feel connected and less disjointed and stationary.

And some sound effects would be nice, like "beep beep" when they are checking the computer, or "glare" when Android 16 looks at Trunks.

Maybe tomorrow we'll see some action or some sort of interesting conversation going on. God damnit, why am I defending this?! The drawings are awkward, stiff, and worse they're traced and despite having future Trunks in it the story so far is boring! Well I shouldn't judge the comic after only three pages... See there I go again! Why?

Oh yeah, I'm going to send some dbz pics to Salagir, telling him would like to draw one of DBM specials one day. Heh-heh.... If do get the chance am I still allowed to make fun of this fanmanga? Or do I lose my "fanboy anger" daziex forum street cred?

We should make it a Daizex Family project. We'll all get on mIRC and agree one a storyline, haha :P

Wow. The conversation was so intense you could feel it in your bones.

EDIT: They could end this special right here right now. Not because it's bad, but because what else are they going to do that we don't already know? Android 16 is going to help rebuild west city (and/or the world), Trunks propose to him, they live happily ever after. Unless they throw a curve ball at us, this has been yet another pointless special.

DBM is making DBAF right now look good and that is not cool man, not cool!

Haha, all 16's response to Goku being dead is "Ok."

Also, the actual quality of the tracings have improved quite a bit since the beginning, but they all look like they were resized incorrectly before he traced them, as the characters looked ridiculously stretched in many panels.

At least this is a pretty decent page. Dialogue is pretty bad, but that's probably a translation issue, or a problem with the original script I suppose. He was able to make the traced drawings kinda feel connected this time (except for that very last panel). There is still no real motion or sound effects, but I could only think of a few that would be necessary on this page anyway.

Personally, I would have rearranged the panels slightly.

That's just me though.

"Ok."

I did that too. I also think the 3rd and 4th panels should be switch.

But why would you leave a dark panel with "Sixteen"?
