Was There Ever A Moment That Made You Cry?
I've always found myself choking up a little bit when Chaotzu & Tenshinhan are brought back to life. The whistling music playing in the background, aswell as the light shining behind Tien just gets me like no other moment does.
What about you guys?

No. I can't really believe than anyone would actually cry over anything in Dragon Ball to be honest.
Re: Was There Ever A Moment That Made You Cry?
That montage that aired at the end of GT, still kind of gets me today.

There's actually a thread like this right on the first page of the board http://daizex.fanboyreview.net/viewtopi ... =7&t=12530
Though in terms of something actually bringing you to tears, I'd have to say the deaths of the three young Nameccian warriors who fight Freezer and co in Muuri's village. I doubt I'll ever be able to watch the end of that scene in Japanese, it was already upsetting enough in the 'cleaned up' version. Those boys mean a great deal to me for a number of reasons, and it just hurts too much.

Recently, I was watching episode 237, between Vegeta hugging Trunks, accepting his fate after talking to Piccolo, and sacrificing himself actually made my eyes water. Especially the part with Vegeta and Trunks, father/son moments really make me emotional after I lost my father.
Dragonball fan since 2000!

This, and the Goku/Goku Jr. meeting are the closest I've gotten in the series.Kid Buu wrote:That montage that aired at the end of GT, still kind of gets me today.
Haha, and they're both from GT...oh, the sweet irony.

Okay yeah, I did cry at the end of GT. It was just such a sweet montage and even after seeing it like three times, it still gets me.
That and the fact that it was a proper ending to the series.![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Same for me! I also felt bad when Vegeta died the first time. During that time on Namek Vegeta grew out to be one of my favorites. It was so sad to see him go.Optimus wrote:Recently, I was watching episode 237, between Vegeta hugging Trunks, accepting his fate after talking to Piccolo, and sacrificing himself actually made my eyes water. But then he came back!

Well.. it happened when i first saw Gohan`s SS2 transformation, the emotional discharge of finally letting go all that power combined with Unmei no Hi, which was the first time i even heard that song, still gets a tear to my eye even today. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Certain parts of GT do make me cry, but not the same ones you guy are listing and for entirely different reasons.
Anyway, I've welled up a bit before at things like Piccolo's death from saving Gohan and Goku sacrificing himself against Cell. Nothing's made me actually shed tears, though. Only the ending of the Drum Island arc in One Piece has accomplished that.

Dragon Ball ended in 1997.

People cry over their favorite sports team losing a game. People are different, and different things can make them shed tears.Amigo Ten wrote:No. I can't really believe than anyone would actually cry over anything in Dragon Ball to be honest.
Some can shed tears when they see a dead animal, others only when a close friend dies.
Myself, I didn't cry once during Dragonball, although I got a little bit down at the classic death moments: Piccolo and Vegeta's sacrifices and such.

Re: Was There Ever A Moment That Made You Cry?
I haven't ever cried over something in Dragon Ball. I'm just not that kind of an emotional guy. I mean, you don't have to be an emotional person to cry over something like DB, but I don't find myself crying over stuff like that.
I think the moment that made me the most emotional (but not crying), however, was Vegeta's sacrifice against Majin Boo. It was quite an emotional moment in the series, as well as Goku telling everyone at Kami's Lookout about Gohan and Vegeta being killed by Boo. I'm talking about the anime particularly.
And, because someone was bound to do it sometime, Dragon Ball Evolution.

I don't think i've cried since I was like 5 years old. But I guess the moment that is pretty emotional is when piccolo sacrifices himself for gohan. I always thought that part was pretty cool.

Re: Was There Ever A Moment That Made You Cry?
I think I've cried on several occasions while watching Dragon Ball. And not always during sad moments, sometimes I just get all sassy and emotional because of the innocence, simplicity and beauty of it all. The only particular thing that comes to mind though is the moment where Satan and Buu's puppy got shot.
It really brought me to tears.
Most probably because I cannot stand and tolerate animal cruelty of any kind at all. But it really got me - I felt both sad and angry. Later on though I loved how Super Buu trashed the bastards!

The end of The History of Trunks, that got me going pretty good. Sure I was younger, but even today it makes me sad.
