Ditto! How could I forget my favourite special! Especially the first time I watched it... God.
Being a kid really helped back then, but it truly has its moments. Need to rewatch it soon.

End of GT, I never saw it before until I had the green bricks, and it was so sad I cried.

Piccolo's death scene made me cry quite a bit, but I'd say it was mostly because I had some er... female issues going on at the time. I drowned my sorrows in a half gallon of ice cream when I saw this scene with the first Dragon Box set. Even the sweetest of ice cream tastes bitter during a moment like that.

For me it was the ending of GT... Seeing all those scenes from the span of the saga choked me up a bit and the thought that it was hard to believe that after all those years, Goku was gone for good... :(

I recall another moment that made me cry, In the beginning of History of Trunks, when it is said that Goku is dead.

Truth be told, Dragonball has never made me cry. I felt really bad for future Trunks but I don't recall crying. Maybe it's because I have no real heart, or maybe I just can't take those scenes as serious as I would a movie like "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" or "Hotel Rwanda." Those are the only two movies that made cry like a baby. Any other tv show, cartoon, or anime has failed to bring real tears into my soulless eyes.

It's kind of hard to cry about anything in a series where no one stays dead for longer than twelve episodes/chapters.

Kuririn's first death, and I think the only other time was the ending of GT.

Damn, I popped some tears in my eyes when Goku was leaving Goten!!! I was watching that with my brother, he was also sad.
But he cried a lot more when Shiryu died in Saint Seiya. Actually they are also crying in Saint Seiya anime, it's quite weird sometimes.

It's likely the former, scientifically speaking. :o

I don't think I cried watching Dragon Ball but if anything came close it'd be Piccolo dying for Gohan in the Saiyan arc. Because, while, boo hoo, everyone died in alternate reality Future Trunks land, it's because Artificial Humans ate their faces. Piccolo didn't have to die in the Saiyan arc, he wasn't hunted down. He chose to wander in front of a big-ass blast even if it screwed up the whole 'wish people back' plan. (Good thing Nappa and Vegeta had a loud conversation about Namek having Dragon Balls, am I right?)

The music was cool too.

I don't know if any scene has actually made me cry (I only remember ever crying at two movies, and one of them the movie was actually really crappy but it reminded me just enough of the book, which I think actually DID make me cry), but if anything did it would have probably been when Vegeta sacrificed himself. At the time, I thought he was really going to be gone for good, and that was in the day when there was no other character that came close to him as 'favorite character' for me.

It's usually happy moments that make me cry rather than sad ones. And the scene after Goku realized that the mask man was really his dead grandpa made me lose it. I know there were other times too but I can't remember details.

I remember tearing up at the final montage where Goku and Mr. Satan were trying to collect energy for the final Genki Dama to defeat Buu. Seeing all those familiar faces really brought about a powerful sense of both closure and nostalgia to the series as a whole that drew up a lot of fond memories of Goku's early adventures.

Outside of that, I remember crying a bit when Goku reunited with grandpa Gohan in the original series. That was a serious tear-jerker!

^This.

It's not really sad to watch someone die in DBZ 'cause you know they'll be back.

I don't think so. There were some touching moments like Goku meeting Goten and sad moments like when the robot saved Gohan during the early saiyan saga, but I don't think it ever brought me any where near tears.

Piccolo's "death" in the Cell Saga.
Majin Vegeta's goodbye to everyone.
Goku reuniting with his grandpa.
Goku's goodbye at the end of the Cell saga.

Making me cry isn't hard. I cried over a boat in another anime.

I think the thing that gets people the most about GT's ending is that they get the whole "damn its really over" feeling.

But the the part that got me a little(I didnt cry) is in the dub when Gohan was begging Cell to make the Jrs stop beating the crap outta everyone.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

But the robot didn't die or anything, he was simply trapped under rocks. Then later Gohan came back and stuff. Well, in AotS anyway.

And he was severely damaged (beyond repair if I recall correctly) and his power was completely drained. So he was essentially dead, unless you are going by the idea that Cell never "killed" 16 because he was never "truly alive" to begin with. That video game isn't even canon, so I don't know why you're even bringing that in here.

Well, granted the episode isn't canon either, but I assume you're saying the video game isn't even canon to that. But, yeah, robot dies... for good. The end. Domo arigatou, Roboto-san.
