Even though that's not an SH Figuarts SSJ Goku, I want it. I really freaking want it!

Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Aah, alrighty. That's about as cool ^^ Glad it wasn't suppose to be Pic, the features are far too gentle for him- it works much better for Neru.Herms wrote:The card title is “The Fused Super Warrior Piccolo”, so that guy in the background is presumably Nail.

Just so you guys know, once you build the Figurerise, it does NOT look as cool as the pictures. The advertisement is a fully painted one. The one you get in the model kit has light yellow pearl/frost hair and it looks like cheap plastic, no shading at all. :<SuperSaiyan3Goku wrote:Even though that's not an SH Figuarts SSJ Goku, I want it. wow, really? That sucks. The picture made those models look promising but now my hopes are crushed. Oh well.

...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?
Re: V-Jump April 2010 Ads & Articles!
Another dream crushed. Thanks a lot Kibosuru! I could've brought this model kit and be totally disappointed, but noooooo....Kibosuru412 wrote:Just so you guys know, once you build the Figurerise, it does NOT look as cool as the pictures. Re: V-Jump April 2010 Ads & Articles!
Why is everyone so upset by the lack of a paint job? These aren't action figures; they are model kits, and model kits require building and (usually) painting.
From Wikipedia:
Judging from pictures I've seen of the previous Goku model and this one un-painted, I would say the experience building them and the awesome sculpt and articulation are enough to win me over. I can't paint, but I love to put together models like these.
Even without a paint job, it still looks fantastic:

Despite the lack of a paint job, the sculpting and the proportions are better than the Figuarts in my opinion:

Once I have some extra cash, I am definitely going to order these models.
From Wikipedia:
These are made to be built easily without the use of paint and to still be presentable, but painting them is recommended to give it your own extra visual flair.MG models are very presentable even straight from the box, but like previous grades can be improved through further detailing and painting.

Personally, I'd be happy if it looked like the hlj pictures.Metalwario64 wrote:Why is everyone so upset by the lack of a paint job? These aren't action figures; they are model kits, and model kits require building and (usually) painting.
Here are actual pics from dalong.net (i find the frost yellow hair very ugly):

Honestly, I think it actually looks pretty nice, possibly better than those HLJ images. It looks more like a more golden blond rather than a flat yellow that you normally see on Super Saiyan figures, and it appears to pick up light really well. It looks very much like the color of the Super Saiyan hair as it's been in Kai so far in terms of both actual animation(old and new) and official art.Kibosuru412 wrote: Here are actual pics from dalong.net (i find the frost yellow hair very ugly):
I also love that face sculpt, and the fact that the eyes don't have thick black outlines like they usually put on figures nowadays for whatever reason. I never did like that, it always makes characters look evil, even when they aren't.

Re: V-Jump April 2010 Ads & Articles!
I've got both of the MG Figurerise Goku kits (Regular and SS) and can only say positive about them. Because the plastic is already colored appropriately they don't require painting at all. I've done some reviews of them on YouTube if anyone is interested (and there are many other reviews out there as well).
Both the Figurerise and Figuarts DB figures are amazing additions to the DB toy line. They are not only articulated but incredibly accurate to the show and offer things such as inter-changeable faces and hands so the character can really pull off scenes/poses from the series.
If you're worried about painting, don't. And if you're worried about building it, it's not hard to build.
If you don't want to build, then go to the Figuarts line.
I promise either purchase (Figurerise or Figuarts) will not disappoint you! (IMO of course.)

Heh, I had just seen your reviews of the MG Figurerise Goku models several days ago. It's pretty coincidental that you joined at around the same time I found out about your videos.
I'd personally probably prefer the MG Figurerise line of models to the Figuarts figures. The Figuarts are pretty good, but I just don't like the faces... They look kind of creepy with the black outlines around the eyes and the thin pupils (same goes with the Hybrid Action figures)... I just wish they would make more characters in the MG Figurerise line... I hope it's not just going to be Goku. I'd love to see a Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan or Trunks model.

That is coincidental, lol! I guess I'm slowly getting around. Though.. it's been a good two weeks since I made a review--and that's no good. I should make one tonight.
And I agree!! I really hope they make Trunks. He'd be a killer model.. with his sword and sexy self all articulated and stuff.

They are now importing V-Jump to Czech Republic, so I won't stay aside from news, which is cool!
I'll go to shop, get one issue and look what's new.
Seen this issue last week.
