Have you even watched the GT dub? It's significantly better than the Z dub, not to mention x10 as accurate. The only problems I had with it, were correct with the release of the "green bricks".

I've watched a handful of episodes, but I'll admit, I was too off-put by the dub's voices and voice acting to further investigate its accuracy. I'm not nearly up on its accuracy as I am with the DBZ dub, so you might be right on that front.

Oh wait, no he shouldn't.
Well, he shouldn't have high-pitched, girly screams either.
There's nothing "girly" about Goku's screams, Nozawa does a pretty deep voice for him anyway.

I didn't want to bring this up before, but this threads already gone in a locked dierections so whatever...

People say they're happy about Nadolny being replaced because "no 4 year old should sound like that".... Okay, then why is it perfectly fine for a fully grown man to sound like a 14 year old?

As of late her stern Gokû's been deeper than most of Schemmel's Gokû, as far as I can tell.

Hey, I never thought of it like that! Good point.

Let's see some people tackle that.

This is obvious. In Goku's case, it's okay for him to sound like that because he's about personality over aesthetics, over physicality. Not to say that it's impossible for an adult male to do a fine job with Goku, but none has really quite captured his personality as well I would like.

Now, I wouldn't say that any of Gohan's English voices sounded too old, that was never the problem for me. They just sounded kind of hallow and even a little creepy.

A lot of people were saying that there aren't any four year olds that sound that nasally.

I don't care how Goku acts, no 40 year old man sounds like that unless hes had the misfortune of becoming a unich; we know he fathered children so there goes that argument.

DB Goku and DBZ Goku sound completely different, it's not like she's doing the same high pitch voice, Z Goku doesn't really sound like a woman as much as dubbies think, when you're REALLY watching it at least.

Yeah, the age thing was never my argument. I just didn't like Nadolny because she sounded unnaturally raspy, and that annoyed me. That said, I'm watching the early Z episodes (again), and damn if Nozawa doesn't sound just like a 4 year old child as Gohan. So cute!

You may have an argument in two-decade-going-on-three-old Z, but in Kai, Goku's voice is deep simply because Nozawa can't help it; she's old. And she's already making it deeper because she's playing a male.

Well, considering Toriyama drew Gokû with Nozawa in mind...eheheheh.

Then again, this is the anime...which pretty much looks like Toriyama's art...so...eheheheh.

Personally, the only 'child Son' I've ever felt capture the cuteness of the child Sons was Kara Edwards.

I have no idea what's everyone is talking about, nor do I care. The only thing that worries me about the new English dub is that the voices will not turn me on the way they used to back in the day.

Yeah, go ahead and think I kidding, "oh it's just Scarz being Scarz" but super serious. Goku, Vegeta, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, (I personally don't care for green aliens) I'm talking all the main male characters here. Their voices better sound like pure male testosterone with the mix of bad voice acting or else those lonely nights will be even lonelier.

On another note, put me in that line for going out with Scarz. :D

How'd you get that? I was implying that because the anime is so similar to the art that Toriyama drew when he began to hear Nozawa's voice while drawing it, it counted to say that the character is made for Nozawa.

A guy who believes a woman screaming "It's time for Scarz' BIG BANG ATTACK!" does not call for the most romantic evening.
