@caejones: I need you to upload the files to megaupload or something similar because I can't listen to them where they are now. PLease and tahnkyou
PLus I don't think my band is onboard.
@Splondot: Tell them to email me at: mbennettthesecond@gmail.com In the email they should include what characters they would enjoy voicing, a sample of them voicing some lines from those characters (these should be lines we've heard before in one of the series or a line from the manga), some more samples of them screaming (in character), and tell them to type me a little letter if they want too.
@Darkhawk5: can you try something like a dark-redish purple for the eye rings. Thanks a million.
@Scarz: Those character sheets are starting to look pretty good.
@ThunderPX: Please refer to my post to caejones in this reply for mmore info.
@Big Momma: I was thinking something more romantic, but the chibirific thing is also quite nice. Not very DBish, though.

Trying rapidshare this time. Copying the descriptions from my webpage:
Kaioshin's death: http://rapidshare.com/files/372464192/K ... 2.mp3.html
Done with the death of East Kaioshin in mind.
Other than the occasional speaker-cracking, I don't have much to say on this one...
Xicor's Arrival: http://rapidshare.com/files/372464196/Xicor1.mp3.html
The idea was Xicor's first appearance.
I have several problems with this one, the first being the sound of it: does that really give off a Dragonball feel?
The other is a problem with how I made it: despite that there are multiple instruments involved, they don't overlap, because it was all me playing it through in one recording. Naturally, this wouldn't be a problem if I were to write an actual song.
Freeza Flashback: http://rapidshare.com/files/372464197/F ... 1.mp3.html
I was thinking of it going with the prologue-like bit at the beginning of the first chapter in which Freeza is rescued from the remains of namek.
I played each part separately and edited them together, hence the messiness. It could definitely stand more dynamics, though if it were to be used that'd be dependant on how the animation lines up. I kinda think that final note on the harp kills the dramatic effect of the bell, though I'm not convinced I could put it back together and have it sound exactly the same in every way but that. Hmm.
Dragon Castle: http://rapidshare.com/files/372464198/D ... e.mp3.html
The Evil Dragons' "Castle of Evil"? I don't see it fitting, but I wound up liking it enough to record. Definitely could use some drums. The sound doesn't feel particularly DB-ish, either. It'd probably work better as a collection of background bits to be cut and spliced as necessary, but is it good for even that?

two new sketches

Re: Toyble's Af anime project
I'm kinda with you there on that. I'm gonna go through a few songs, and run them by everyone again. They may be from other anime, but I'm trying not to do that if I can.GenerationII wrote: @Big Momma: I was thinking something more romantic, but the chibirific thing is also quite nice. Re: Toyble's Af anime project
I kinda want to try and come up with an original vocal song (or several XD) in Japanese for whatever we'd need them for. I know someone whose expertes in Japanese seems to be on song lyrics (particularly the faux-romantic JPop-esque stuff we get with GT and a bunch of anime from that era), and at least in the past, the Voiceacting Alliance seemed to have a large population of amature VAs who did a decent job at singing JPop, so it seems doable.
Might we use the music you come up with as a reference on which to start on such things?
Psst: If we do the Tapion special, would it make sense to use existing music?

Wow. You all are actually gonna animate the intro, and then try to get the first episode done later?

@caejones: Good stuff so far. Also, I think you are jumping the gun a little with the Tapion special thing (in regards to music anyway). I like the idea of the japanese vocal songs.
@DragonBallKaiHD: Sorry to say this, but I don't think that we could use you.

That's fine. I didn't think I could be part of a team anyway. Best wishes on animating DBAf.GenerationII wrote:@DragonBallKaiHD: Sorry to say this, but I don't think that we could use you.

So I didn't actually listen to all of them, but of those I did listen to, Arigatou no Egao sounds most fitting (Meh, I've been watching Detective Conan lately XD).Big Momma wrote:Okay, here's a list of proposed ending themes:

I also like it because I think it's a style I could emulate a little more easily than the others, Hee... XD

Wow. You know guys, thanks for everything. You've done so much. I can't think of a way to thank you guys properly. This seems like it's really going to happen.
@Scarz: When can we expect some kind of storyboard for the intro, no pressure just wondering.

Re: Toyble's Af anime project
I can't give an exact time on right now but I'm definitely going to start the story boarding before I finish all of character sheets. I know it's like working backwards but the story board is mostly rough drawings anyway. This project even pushed me to finally order an animators light box. Something that's been on my wishlist for a loooong time.GenerationII wrote:@Scarz: When can we expect some kind of storyboard for the intro, no pressure just wondering.
Speaking of which, I'm currently inking the Goku AF character sheet. I need someone to throw some colors at me because I forgot what kind of colors Goku was wearing on his new clothes.
@ darkhawk5 - What animation program do you use again? It be very helpful to know this sort of information in the near future. I use mostly flash, After Effects, and I also animate traditionally. (blue pencil and paper)
