Colleen's Gohan really reminded me of Saffron Henderson, which is a good thing. ^__^

Gohan's new voice is miles better.

Hooray for Dragon Ball Sean Schemmel voice and not DBZ Sean Schemmel voice!!

I dunno what you're talkin about, Raditz sounds pretty much the same to me.

And now my ears won't be bleeding from Kyle Hebert's narrating.

Apologies to anyone who likes him as the narrator, but his recasting was the one I was the single most excited about.

... Plus his Gohan voice sounded like an overacting 30 something year old, not a High School Student... just sayin'.

When I first heard Hebert, I thought he was a huge improvement over Dale Kelley (ol' sandpaper voice) as the narrator. I don't know if the relief of Kelley being replaced has worn off, if my tolerance for the dub has waned in the past several years, or if Hebert really decided to kick it into high gear in more recent productions, but when I spot checked the dub on the Dragon Box, he sounded just as over the top sandpapery as Kelley did. But this narrator sounds great. Just as good as Doc Harris from back in the day.

It's ironic that the two share the same name. I really liked Doc Harris, so I love hearing someone who sounds like him as the narrator. :D

How is that ironic? You mean coincidental?

It's annoying how "irony" is the current popular word to completely miss the meaning of. I remember a few years back when people kept using "ignorant" and "stupid" interchangeably... Nothing against you personally linkdude20002001... Just me ranting...

Wow Sean sounds a lot better. Gohan and the new narrator are doing a bang up job too. The script does indeed seem very accurate this time around so good on that as well. I really don't have any complaints with the few new clips. I've always loved Cook's Raditz and I don't feel like he delivered lines any differently then before. I really hope Sean does something new with his voice for the Kaio role.

If he at least turns down the lisping slobbering, maybe it'll stand a chance of being okay. Dave Ward's Kaio was the incorrect vocal type, but at least he seemed to have the character down and wasn't unpleasant to listen to. At the very least, Schemmel needs to channel that kind of voice.

Oh, and this isn't acting related, but they'd sure better NEVER EVER use morse code sounds for Kaio's antenna telepathy. Man, they did horrible things to that character...

Which would be exactly why I like him better now from the little I've seen so far. Ian's always been my favorite and I miss him.

I like what I can hear of Gohan, he sounds like a kid instead of a raspy pretend-child. But I love having a respectable narrator instead of a wrestling announcer. Thanks for the link.

Well, it's nice to finally have people with actual talent on a DBZ dub.

I probably should've quoted the line just above what you said. You went from saying you were excited to hear he was recast, and then commented about not liking his role as Gohan, anyway.

To me, that seemed like you were implying that all of his roles were being replaced.

As much as I hate to say it, but Clinkenbeard's Gohan is by far better than Nadolny's. Schemmel is good as always, I've got no complaints with him. Cook's Raditz was okay, but I prefer his Japanese voice.

So far so good, Kai. :P

Hebert was always great as Boo arc Gohan. Every line delivery was solid, and as much as I didn't mind Clarke as future Gohan, Hebert should've done the role in the Trunks special.
Secondly, I'll always prefer Nadolny's Gohan, period. I guess I'll just have to get used to what's her name...

Sounds pretty good so far. Pretty cool Sean Schemmel decided to use his late Dragonball Goku voice, sounds a whole lot better. Colleen's Gohan is great and I like the new narrator better now.

I'm gonna just have to respectfully disagree with you on both of those things.

Oh, and about earlier, yes, I did realize it was only his narrator role being replaced. I should have specified.

Yeah that too, but the main reason why I like him is that he is the only male member of Goku's family who isn't voiced by Masako Nozawa.
