@macho_man: Well done, you are doing your job quite well.
Re: Toyble's Af anime project
I finished the black and white character sheet of AF Goku but I'm currently working on another paid project this week so I won't have the time to color it today but I will soon. I'm putting the bw character sheets up anyway. Maybe someone would like to give it some color. The next character sheet I'll try to keep things more "sharp," as I can now see some rounded features started to bleed in when I was digital inking, sort to speak.

The one below is flipped because Goku's arm band is was on the wrong side (my mistake). Also In animation, the character color sheet is almost never perfected in the first try.

I know what you're thinking. "Goku's tunic is green, his arm bands are purple, etc." But there are different shades of green and purple and so on. And what if the director thinks the arm bands looks good in gray and black color or what if I think it looks good in a dark green purpleish color. That's what the character sheet above is for. To try out different colors and to see what works. Again, anyone here can give it a shot if they like.
Here's another example for Jak and Daxter series:

@macho_man: Thanks for ref. again buddy!
@GenerationII: I'll start some story board sketches during the weekend if I can get some work out of the way before then.
@darkhawk5: Manga Studio eh? Never used the program but I'll download it soon and play around with it.

Done

I only did the coloring of the full character sheet for the fourth color scheme because that is the one I like best.

Re: Toyble's Af anime project
Avast!
I took a song I wrote last May, translated the lyrics into Japanese, and then wrote the music based on how it went.
I haven't attempted to record vocals yet (but I will.
), but I've got the karyoke version done and on rapidshare:
{Evermake} [edit] I forgot... I left in a countoff at the beginning that is somewhat painful. Just a heads up...[/edit]
The bass feels a little overpowering, but I'm pleased with it over all. I was worried there might be some speaker-cracking, but mine handled it surprisingly well.
And, well, it's kind of repetitive, but what would you expect from something such as this?
I can post the lyrics if that's of any use.

Also, I got a bit of translation help from a certain J. Plante (*hoping he doesn't mind use of his name here* XD).
Progress makes me happy!

Hmmm, here's a promo-ish thing

Re: Toyble's Af anime project
I'll getting to more detailed colors here based on what I saw from Darkhawk, GenerationII, and the example from macho-man.
Re: Toyble's Af anime project
Scarz...your style reminds me of the "Happy Harry" cartoons.

I see... I'm just underdog here at the forums, eh? Is it because of my history here at the forums that people look down on me now? Nobody say anything positive to me.
Count on it! I'm gonna surpass the expectation. I will transcend the "Super Manga of TOOYYYBLEEE"
*Ahem* Sorry. You may continue on what you are doing. Go, Generation Team!

Hm, I decided to take that as a compliment since I like the Happy Harry flash toons.Big Momma wrote:Scarz...your style reminds me of the "Happy Harry" cartoons.

Re: Toyble's Af anime project
From left to right: My colors, darkhawk5, GenerationII, combination of all three.

I didn't combine all the colors to make everyone "happy." I tried to see which colors worked and which didn't.
1) I liked the idea of the tunic being one color but hated the dull colors besides the green I added to Goku.
2) I like the dark lower part of Goku's "skirt" (can't think of a more manlier name for it) but I believe the blue was really too dark.
3) Goku skin tone looks just right for this project but there's to many colors to work with here.
4) The hardest part is picking a color scheme that's pleasing to the eyes and not just "our favorite colors" (I trap a fall into way to often)
Those where just my honest opinions. By the way, honesty is the only thing that would make this project work well. If there's something you don't like or think could be better don't be afraid to say so. We're all adults here (uh, at least in our minds), we can handle criticism. Hell if I did something that didn't turn out right or just plain suck I would appreciate if someone pointed it out.
@ GenerationII and everyone else: I'll try to draw the story board for the first few seconds of the intro (that's when Xcior arrives before the music starts) This weekend. Prepare for an image dump (But still, no grantees. If I can't do it this weekend I'll do it the following week).
@DragonBalllKaiHD - To quite honest I didn't know you were finished with you colors because I saw the last two had skin color but no color on their clothes. I would've included yours (and still can) if you picked a color scheme you liked.
EDIT: I'm not saying my colors are "final" I just tried it out too, like I mentioned before. I don't want to give the wrong impression here and look snooty.

Re: Toyble's Af anime project
@Scarz: can I see how the one based off of my coloring looks with the shade of green YOU used?
Also, did anybody think how it's going to turn out when some idiotic AF-crazers get a hold of these character designs and try to claim AF to be real once again. How about the storyboard for the intro or the intro itself? How about the anime? How about the guys who see the intro, hear Super Dragon Soul, and say, "That proves it! It must be real, that song has never been used before, it doesn't even sound like Linkin Park! Wait, what's Dragonball Kai? OH! you mean Dragonball Z Kai, the new cartoon on Nicktoons?" lol it's kind of exciting
