Mr. Popo has to have contributed somewhere to have a reputation such as his.

Well I gave up on seeing DBZ Abridged on Youtube the first time they torpedoed the Team Fourstar account. It's a dead letter as far as I'm concerned! :?

Mr. Popo contributed a few nightmares.

Yeah, Popo's pretty much contributed to many sleepless nights.

As for YouTube, there is one big gaping hole in their system that gets videos pulled and accounts suspended and it involves the ability for ANYONE to go ahead and make any sort of copyright claim. In TFS' case, this isn't the situation obviously as it's a somewhat legitimate reason since DBZ is Toei's property. But there is a problem where people like to either flag the hell out of people's videos or submit false reports for the sake of getting rid of someone they don't like on YT. I've seen a good number of people mass-flag other people's videos just to get their accounts suspended, simply because they don't agree with them.

Hell, I've even had a video of my own that contained nothing but text (and a few Photoshopped images of my own) containing a quote by Alfred Kahn (best known as the guy behind 4Kids Entertainment) about his views on how "anime and manga are dying" and "Japan is no more." That video was somehow flagged with a "copyright infringement" by 4Kids Entertainment, even though it had nothing to do with the company and contained nothing of theirs. The video got taken down as a result and added on to my original account's 3 strikes.

So while YT does have some legit reasons for pulling vids and getting rid of accounts, it also does have some really big flaws where just about anyone can have a video pulled for any reason they wish without any questions asked.

Anyone know what song was playing during their search for the dragon balls in the recent episode?
To embarass myself, I would like to say it was the one where they sang: "Dragonballs! Gotta get them Dragonballs!". :D

Yup, it's the theme to the thirteen episodes that FUNimation did back in 1995, using the BLT cast.

I've been wondering about some of the funny sound effects used in these episodes. For example in the last episode when Vegeta figures out how Nappa screwed him over in revealing the secret of the Dragonballs, there's that "whip crack" sound as his eyes snap home. Iv'e heard that a thousand times before in other media, kind of like the Wilhelm scream. So where does some of Team Fourstar's sound effects come from?

I dunno. Sounddogs.com has a massive collection of sound effects. Maybe they got it from there.

Not the best episode, but I did love Zarbon, Dodoria and Freeza's voices.

And Gohan not getting Krillin's jokes was priceless. :P

Maybe it's just because the version I watched on the site was a youtube embed, but with my speakers turned to full and my climate control turned off, it was still pretty quiet. :?

The music used for Freeza and friends in episode 13 wins.
Vegeta Vs. Cui~!
I get the feeling it will be a while before Vegeta gets frustrated again, leading me to believe there will be at least one more moment such as that "fight". XD
Krillin: Even when he wins, he gets owned!

Oh man, all of Krillin's shitty attempts at jokes were awesome. Ditto for Zarbon's sexually suggestive dialogue.

Hey look, Krillin finally busted that nut...
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Best jokes were Popeye and the Saiyan guidebook. Rest of the episode was mildly entertaining.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
