I want everyone to know that I was not disrespecting the original actors with my post.

I love the Japanese cast.

I'm only more interested in the English dub because it's making so many improvements,

whereas it seems the Japanese version of Kai is only getting setbacks, without a new script. not that it needs one.

know what i'm sayin?

The Japanese voice acting in Dragonball Z is absolutely perfect. There's not a single thing about the soundtrack I'd change. Every vocal inflection, line, sound effect, and musical note in the score is completely perfect. Therefore, to me, Kai has nowhere to go but down.

except Baba, pre-Tanaka, and Roshi, post-Miyauchi

I dunno, the fact that FUNi changed the name to "Dragon Ball Z Kai", makes me think that they understand this isn't a new show.

Toei actually asked FUNi to do that, according to Chris Sabat. It was stated somewhere else in this thread... or maybe the DVD thread. Not sure which.

Oh wow. Why would they do that?

They think you're stupid and will complain if there isn't a 'Z' in the title.

I'm not going to get too excited about the English performances. They're certainly not as good as the Japanese cast. But from what I've been hearing, they've improved a little bit, and with the script being so much better, I'm just glad fans of the dub will have a dub that expresses better how DBZ should be. Whether you end up watching the Kai dub or not, the dub will likely enrich the fan community.

So yeah, this is... slightly late but I finally managed to fix the synch problems and uploaded a better version of the ending dubbed. Sorry it took longer than needed but I hope the wait was worth it! Enjoy Dragon Ball Kai Z Ending - YEAH! BREAK! CARE! BREAK! (Sung by Jerry Jewell)

Now to get to the serious business, you know what I do. Some of you will be getting the DVDs by the end of the month (if you've ordered through rightstuff) so I need to arrange something with one of the buyers (hopefully someone who lives near their headquaters) in order to get a DVD quality rip of the audio. I would do it myself but due to being in England, I wouldn't get the set until around the end of May. Trust me, my ability to make sound rips is better than my ability to transcribe a song XD Some of you have heard my One Piece work, you know i'll do it very well. So, let's arrange something soon someone and provide everyone with what they need when the time is right!

Well, I'll have another stab at the lyrics, since I'm bored.

Live your life, don't stop until it's done
Once you live for love then you've already won
Bring on the power of the infinite sky
I never thought that it would come to this
Just take my hand and together we'll fly
Let's go, right now, how high?
Soar above the clouds and see such
Beauty all around
This irreplaceable world needs a star
We have to join in the fight
Give your life time, the Kamehameha (makes no sense, but I'm sure it's "give your life" something)
Give your all, don't ever give up
When we're together, I know we can win
I'll help you if you need it
Live your life, don't stop until it's done
Give your all, don't ever give up
All you need is love and to believe in yourself
It's easier when you believe (can't really make out these words)

It sounds like a pretty nice dub of the song.

On the whole, it seems much better done than the OP.

I don't know if this has been posted already somewhere, but I was watching Nicktoons and saw a promo announcing DBZ Kai is going to begin airing May 24th and will be part of a Monday-Thursday block at 8pm.

Just so you knows~

They can't even get away with beer!

(It's not like it's a minor drinking it, it's a 200+ year old man!)

I agree with this save for "needs a star." I tried to hear it, but the end just doesn't sound like "star" to me. Also, I believe the last line is correct.

Maybe it's the audio quality, but I hate this English version. =/

I just read on Sean Schemmel's facebook fan page he said the on air release of DBZK may feature Canadian music.

Just for people who don't wanna hunt down the quote.
[quote="Brakus"]For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". The clips posted on Nicktoons.com have the original music,

so I'm willing to bet that it will also be there on the air.

I'm guessing it'll be occasional replacement as in the days of Ronin Warriors, or early 4Kids Pokemon. Also, Colleen Clinkenbeard seems to be under the impression that Kai will be on both Nictoons and Cartoon Network. I hope she's not mistaken, though I'll admit it doesn't seem likely.

edit: Linkdude beat me to it in the other thread, but this post is hopefully still useful.
