Pft, the sod won't ship outside of the US.

But yeah.. a bit high for a starting bid. And a bit of a pity that it's not the japanese cast, but hey, if you like the Funimation cast, it's a splendid thing to get... if you have money to burn.

Indeed, strange that he won't ship worldwide. :?

Wonder if someone will bid on it...

I wouldn't be surprised if no one bids. This dumbass just wants an outlandish price for that piece of shit... the FUNimation troupe aren't big enough stars yet, to covet such material as a 'collectable', and as Pedro said, it's a pitty that it isn't the Japanese cast- then it would be worth it.

I have a sketch of Son Gohan (teen,) signed by Kyle Hebert, and I got that free... which makes this $90 auction even more stupid, atleast by my perspective.

If I had the money I'd be bidding on that. I'd love to have it.

Damn, if only it were $50... I'd love to buy it, it'd be nice, since I have grown to love the FUNi cast over the years.

I've been able to buy things once or twice that said the seller wouldn't ship outside of the US. I just PM'd them asking if they'd be willing to ship anyway and telling them I was really interested in the product. It especially helped if there was a "Buy It Now" option because I would tell them that I would take it right away if they agreed on shipping.
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

Heh.
Personally, I wouldn't spend $99 on that now, so much as I would 5 years from now, or more; with these things- you've really got to give it time to age. You know, since DragonBall Z just finished it's run how long ago? [Note: Rhetorical question.]

(Also: I take back the piece of shit crack... heh.)

That's why you get it now. You buy collectibles early. In 5 years that's going to cost you more than $99 to get your hands on it.

With the current trend it's hard to say if DragonBall will matter that far down the line though, and on top of that the English dub voice actors. And even if it will become valuble, currently the English dub cast signatures aren't worth $99.00, atleast in my opinion.

So then, if you lived in Japan 20 years ago, and right as the first issue of DB came out you had a chance to get a copy signed Toriyama-Sama, without any knowledge of how big it'd get, and for the price of $100 (american, obviously)... you wouldn't have done it? I don't look at what something like that costs now but what it'll cost years later.

But Toriyama-sensei is in a different league than American voice actors. I'm not bashing American voice actors, as I am huge fans of several of them (I got to meet Rob Paulsen and Tara Strong, awesome people), it's just that in Japanese culture, mangaka are highly regarded, and in America the average person doesn't care who makes the voices in their show.

If you're a fan of the dub, though, it'd be an awesome collectable to hold on to. You should get it because you want it, not because you want to sell it.

No, I wouldn't have. What good would a persons signature be, if you don't know if it will have any worth down the road? Most people only buy collectable items because the person is already highly recognized for one reason or another, not on the off chance they will have a reputation that exceeds their years.

(*Edit: Even if I would have wanted his signature just for the neatness of having the author sign his own creation, $100.00 is more than the value of the book, what kind of narcissist would charge that much for their own signature?*)

Thats why I have no intention of selling my Kyle Hebert autograph.

I would've probably bought Toriyama-sensei's autograph back then... Living in Japan at that time, you would'v known how big he was because of Dr. Slump!

And that WILL be a rare piece since it has ALL the VA's together on ONE item.

Lost in thought: I also have a VA sketch! ^_^ It's from Sonny Strait. I had the DVD covers I wanted signed in a Spiderman folder, he like my folder a lot and asked me where I got it. I answered "Spain, since I'm originally from there". He thought it was cool and drew me a pic of Kuririn wearing a Spanish flamenco hat and a Spidey outfit... overall, "Mondo cool!" ^_~

That's mondo cool indeed. XD Got to love (voice) actors who want to do something for their fans.

Under the bottom left signature does that say "Mr. Satan" as opposed to "Hercule?"
