Hopefully, none at all.

Why would they go through the trouble of bringing Nadolny back when they've already hired Clinkenbeard?

If future Trunks, 17, 18, Satan, Videl, or Buu era-Gohan are changed, they just wont be the same anymore.

FUNi seems to have dropped the 'mechanical voice-ness' of 19 a long time ago, so I doubt that'll be coming back for Kai. Though I'm wondering if they'll keep the three distinctly different voices for Cell or go with the same voice like the Japanese version (and thus finally eliminate the 'voice change' issue in the various fighting games)? Also, I hope the keep Goten's voice, but I wouldn't mind Kid Trunks's voice being changed. >.>

And what's the chance we'll get Nadolny back for the Android Saga, or at least the Cell Games?
I'd expect Eric Vale back as Trunks, Chuck Huber back as 17, and Chris Rager back for Satan. Gohan is probably a safe bet too. As for Videl and Goten... her actress, Kara Edwards, hasn't really done a lot of work for FUNimation lately. As much as I'd like her back, it's still a little shaky I'd say. As for Kid Trunks, it's all about whether or not they want to fly Laura Bailey back out for him.

Laura Bailey's FUNi work is damn recent, and I highly doubt they'll go grab Hebert from LA just to do a bit character like Ox King, but not Bailey for Trunks. We might even hear her as Dende.

Ohhh . . . they'll bring her back. Kara quit her radio career to pursue voice acting full-time, so I see no reason that she wouldn't at least be contacted when the time came.

Hebert was confirmed to be playing Ox King.

Why did they go to the trouble of getting someone different for Buu era Gohan instead of using Nadolny the whole time? As much as Nadolny's Gohan didn't work for the Saiya-jin/Namek era her Android/Cell Games Gohan was excellent. And she clearly is up to doing the role again, based on her FB comments, so the only logical reason I can see for her replacement at all was they agreed she didn't work for young Gohan. But that doesn't exclude her from the Android/Cell era where she did work well.

Yeah, I figured Goten and Videl would be almost a given since she's gone full-on VA. I just wasn't sure how much work she's done for FUNi lately, if she might have obligations elsewhere that could keep her away from the roles, that sort of thing.

I spoke to Hebert about a month back, and he said he will be playing Gohan so thats not changed at least, and the same for Vale, I really hope we get 17 and 18 back, and I think someone said in a different thread that Rager will be playing Satan again.

Because... Gohan at that time is more or less a grown man, and Nadolny wouldn't sound right? Do you think Clinkenbeard is gonna be Buu era Gohan?

You said it would be pointless to bring in Nadolny for Cell saga Gohan even though he's 6 years older than Saiyan saga Gohan, so by that logic it would be pointless to bring in a new voice Actor for Buu saga Gohan

I wouldn't really call it sarcasm. I think he just holds the opinion that 10 year old Gohan is enough of a shift in maturity to be considered a candidate for a separate voice actor from 4 year old Gohan, just like the shift from 10 to 17 can warrant a new voice actor. That's how I interpreted it.

Yes, Rager is indeed coming back to play Mr. Satan.

I'm so angry that they kept Linda Young as Freeza--it's ridiculous!
She sounds NOTHING like the Japanese.

At the risk of getting into ye' olden argument about the voice casting for the character that's been going on since 1997 with Pauline Newstone (GEE THANKS, BARRY)...

It doesn't always have to be about the SOUND of the character's voice. It's not JUST the sound of Ryusei Nakao's voice that defines the animated version of the character (though it goes a long way...) -- just as important is the script he had to work with, the delivery of it, etc. I "hear" Kuririn in a modern Sonny Strait performance of the character... it's not entirely there, but it's pretty damn close and suitable enough. It can be done. It really can. The genders of the actors don't even have to match up! Really! No, for reals!

How anyone can "hear" Freeza in Young's performance, I'll grant you, is beyond comprehension (there is no non-delusional way you can say the characters are the same or even remotely close)... but it's not just the raw sound of her voice.

But hey, beaten to death, right...? Leave the horse alone? Or is there something worthwhile there? Maybe a few entrails left over? Did the crows not pick it entirely apart yet?

It doesn't have to sound like the Japanese, just whatever suits the character well and good deliveries.
