Sounds good, keep us updated!

Red Ribbon starts out slow, but by the time you get to the third major officer, it really picks up. Seems like the whole arc is kind of 50/50 in terms of fan reaction though. I ended up quite liking it, over all.

I wouldn't really call the first officer "major".
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

It sure seemed like it at first though, the way he was introduced.

It warms me wee robotic heart to see a fresh-faced young whippersnapper take to Dragon Ball, grow to love it and not shy away from subtitles. :') Glad to see you'e enjoying it so far, it's always so nice to see people gradually become DB fans... good on you, son. Make us proud.

And I will say one thing: some of the things you were confuzzled or unsure about in your first "arc" review, they are addressed later on. ;)

The Red Ribbon arc is hit-and-miss, sections of it (such as the treasure hunt) bore me to tears and it goes on a little too long, but it's still quite enjoyable. The final volume of the arc especially is great from beginning to end. And after that you have a nice little treat to look forward to before things really pick up again. :)

The Red Ribbon arc is hit and miss, methinks.
Purple/Murasaki is awesome.
I think the anime filler improves the Silver portion tremendously. And I just like the characters it added / brought back. :D

Finished Volume 6, wasn't too keen on Muscle Tower but Murasaki made me laugh as did the trip to the city. Next Volume looks to be intresting will read it soon.

And my review of the second arc will be up tonight.

If you're ever going to cherry pick episodes from the anime, they work a second appearence by Pilaf into the beginning of the Red Ribbon arc which is hilarious.

Really? I think all of the General Blue stuff is the best part of the storyline.

^this, except the only filler i hate is present in this saga, which i don't want to spoil. basically it involves a canon character dying in filler.

If you're talknig about what I think you are... I totally agree.
Of course, if that's the episode I'm thinking of, it creates another inconsistency later, so *grabs a broom* there's room under that rug over there...

Sorry guys it's been a while! I bet you thought I died or something!

Truth be told my internet service provider cut me off over a few unpaid bills. But I'm back on track, everything's a-ok and I'm ready to start reading the manga again having not been able to afford much apart from food and other essentials. But all that's in the past.
I was going to review the Tournament Arc but I can't remember much about it so I'm going to go back and read it again to get a better understanding of what happened.

^Just keep reading. It's just going to get better and better. Trust us. And when you are done, get your hands on the anime...

..Welcome to a very expensive (but worth it!) franchise.

I was first introduced via the anime (and have since read the manga) and once I actually got my hands on those season sets, I literally took days off from work, just so I could watch through entire seasons in one sitting.
True story.

Just wondering, are you also the guy who made the exact same topic on the FUNimation forums? But err anyway, I enjoyed every single tournament arc so far, I enjoyed them a bit more in the anime though because then you get to hear announcers making it more exciting! :D

I can't wait to watch the anime just to be able to do that :D

I'd do the same with the manga but I'm not really a fan of reading bar a few select books. Oh and right now I need the money.

And in response to the other question, sadly not. But it's nice to know there are other new Dragon Ball fans, maybe I should go talk to him.
