Maybe she IS Tien's mum. We'll never know. She could be another Triclops. I do see a resemblance.
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

Well, just so you know, the whole concept of a "third eye" is fairly common in eastern beliefs, even if it's not always depicted so literally. This was the point in the series that had only just started retconning all the mystical elements with sci-fi and long before there was any hint that Tenshinhan might... sigh, be descended from aliens, so it's very unlikely the animators or writers of that episode had that in mind.
Do you follow the most comprehensive and entertaining Dragon Ball analysis series on YouTube? If you do, you're smart and awesome and fairly attractive. If not, see what all the fuss is about without even having to leave Kanzenshuu:

Okay then, lets leave it as shes a person who doesn't have a name and therefore DOES NOT MATTER.Gaffer Tape wrote:Well, just so you know, the whole concept of a "third eye" is fairly common in eastern beliefs, even if it's not always depicted so literally. In the Ano Yo-ichi Budoukai arc i saw a boy who look like TRUNKS ... maybe Trunks dead brother ??? This character design was for me very disappointing because the Z characters should be UNIQUE !!!
The word "KAI" means in the old North Germanic language Frisian "Kämpfer engl. Fighter" respectively "Krieger engl. Warrior"!

They brought it over to most English speaking countries. Put it this way, without FUNimation dubbing Dragon Ball I wouldn't have found out or at least become a fan of it.Silver Sinspawn wrote:But think of all the good things they've done like...

So if Funi never existed, you wouldn't like DB, so therefore wouldn't post here. So, they really haven't done anything good.

Except I didn't get into DBZ through Funi. So your comment is redundant. Besides, I was actually joking.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:I could say the same thing about you.Silver Sinspawn wrote:So if Funi never existed, you wouldn't like DB, so therefore wouldn't post here. Damn I'm pretty drunk, which make sthis topic pretty funny. Yeah, you can't make any synopsis based on Toriyama's characters, about 90% of them are looking same only have different names, but I can say that that guy without nose really looks like Krillin with beard.

It's not a Daizenshuu-induced ''Sci-fi retcon.'' Tenshinhan's a parody of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosuke_SharakuGaffer Tape wrote:Well, just so you know, the whole concept of a "third eye" is fairly common in eastern beliefs, even if it's not always depicted so literally. He's descended from aliens to show which of the four Earthling categories he's part of (Earthling-Hybrid) and to preserve the Sharaku pun. If he were based on the mystical aspect, he wouldn't be evil when we first see him and the fact that he's so strong would be played up a lot more. Tenshinhan is no more an alien than we are gorillas.
Speaking of Earthling-Hybrids, I guess freakshow in that picture is a Human-Animal hybrid. Or yet another descendant of aliens.

I bet you guys anything that the "Tien's Mom" credit is just an in-joke. Nothing to get worked up over.
Now, the bear with people arms, that's something to talk about.

Yeah, I think someone at FUNimation jokingly said "hey, she's got 3 eyes. I bet she's Tiens mom!" and so they just put that in the credits as a joke.Cipher wrote:I bet you guys anything that the "Tien's Mom" credit is just an in-joke. Nothing to get worked up over.
