Isn't Kai pretty much bloodless though, or was that just something they did for the Raditz fight? I stopped watching around that point...
No there is still loads of blood. Very little has actually been removed. People love to exaggerate.

Well, do they need to see people killing each other and all of the other violent things that happen on screen, not to mention the sexual references?

In One Piece's case, the Straw Hats hardly ever kill anyone....if they do at all, even.

Zoro killed a bunch of Baroque Works grunts at Whisky Peak. Outside of the Straw Hats there's quite a few grueling deaths throughout the entire series.

I can't believe the discs are already ready and we gotta wait 3 weeks for them. Maybe one of the stores will get it early.

I wonder how some of the insert songs will sound in the dub. Dubbed? Left in Japanese? Or perhaps just silence...hmm...

BAHHH, I haven't the slightest idea!

I mean we've got correct attack names and an uncensored script. What else is there?

It's probably "Over 9000" going back to "Over 8000".

Eh, I never minded that. It's not like it was completely different from the original...I mean...technically...if it's over 9000, then it's over 8000 as well :P

Also, some people like the meme joke. I say, let them have their fun with this one. It'd be different if it were something that drastically altered a character...like "Cat loves food".

Vegeta says Bardock is the warrior who killed the scientist who made the moon transforming ball? XD

Joking aside, you've managed to squeeze a bit more excitement out of me.

Hmmm. This would have to be something within the first 13 episodes. Something us fans of the Japanese original would appreciate in the dub.

Perhaps a mention of the Son family name? Yajirobe or Chichi speaking with a hickish accent?

Gonna bet my money on Over 8000. Mainly because I can't think of anything else.

I'd like if they would at least use Goku and Gohan's last name, when appropriate.
For example, I think Piccolo usually calls him by his surname.

Also I wonder what they are going to do when they get to the Artificial Humans.
Calling them all 'androids' was always a bit of a confusing misnomer.
Seeing as how there were 2 androids, 2 cyborgs and a brain in a jar. (which I suppose counts as cyborg).

Unfortunately, I think they'll treat the jinzoningen the same way they treated the pronounciation of "saiyan".

It's too engrained in the dub fan's memory.

I'd honestly forgotten 'Sigh an' was pronounced 'Say an'.
Its been a very long time since I've seen any of Funi's dub.
It wasn't to my taste, but I know Funi has dramatically improved their game over the years.
I hope they do a definitive dub this time.

To be truthful, I don't really mind the whole saiyan issue.

I was introduced to the show at a young age via the dub, and the mispronounciation of saiyan is stuck in my memory, too. Sometimes I'll slip up and say it incorrectly, as FUNimation does.

But the absolute worst is when I'm speaking with someone who likes the series and they'll try to correct me if I actually pronounce it "Sigh-an".

But, in retrospect, it could have been worse. They could have just made up their own alien name and not even bothered using any source material.

This actually reminds me of Darkseid back when Jack Kirby wrote his Fourth World epic. People would ask him whether you pronounce it Darkside, or Darkseed, or something else, and he would just tell them what they wanted to hear, without a definite answer.

But, with DBZ, if most of the pronunciations are correct, is one or two here and there really so bad? A deal breaker if you will? Will these minor changes, so long held already, really hurt, when most everything else is exact? That's what one needs to ask themselves.

I'm with Penguintruth on this one. That's something I'd enjoy. Linda Young isn't a bad Voice Actress; but, not a great Freeza.

I'm excited to hear this too!
