Viz has put out anime profile books for Full Metal Alchemist (a Funimation property) so it isn't out of the question.
I doubt Viz would put out a book with "Dragon Box: The Movies" art before we get the actual product.

I'm more interested in the Daizenshuu's but only one of them is translated here in the states(and I can't seem to find it). If only someone would create "The Big Book of Dragonball" and load it up with interviews, Concept Art, Story Boarding, and all that good jazz from both Toei and Akira Toryiama and sell it to all audiences across the globe.
Agreed, I'd rather import the first Daizenshuu from the states than buy this.

Who are you asking? Hujio? Last I asked him, he still hadn't ordered it yet. Neither have I :).

Any friends in NYC wanna pick up the new books for me...? Shipping from Japan for the two of them was ~$30-35, which was more than the cost of the two books, themselves :P. Without any credit on Amazon Japan, it's just not the highest priority for me right now.
Yes I'm ask Hujio when he gonna post the review on Kanzentai(I read on his Twitter he said he maybe join Herms on a hiatus)?.shipping to my country only $22.

Let me thank you now before the link is taken down.

There are some illustrations in this book that I really liked and a lot it I didn't. Mainly because most of the illustrations I've seen else where for free. I probably would've brought this book if it didn't look like a bunch of high school newspaper students slapped some DBZ images together on a blank page.

What is up with layout? It's so sloppy and there so many white spaces it makes me want cry. Damn, it's like editor didn't even bother making it nice and presentable.

But seriously thank you, I just saved some cash.

Thanks for the upload! I'll be pickin' this up for sure now, as I did with the Daizenshuu, but it's nice to be able to see what I'm purchasing ahead of time.
EDIT: WOW, this is flat-out phenomenal. It's basically the anime's Daizenshuu #1. Some of the artwork in here is just.. god DAMN!!
EDIT#2: Looks like I grabbed it just in time!
Finished checking those images out, we NEED to support this damn book, so we can get more awesome artwork (then again, it's hard to think about what this book didn't cover).
What we have is all (and I mean all) the Dragon Box, Z and GT artwork, as well as almost all the promotional artwork from Dragon Ball, Z and GT. It's got Kai artwork, the poster from "Son Goku and Friends return", and quite a bit of new artwork to go with.
In short, buy this fucking thing, it's awesome.

C'mon, folks. Let's not be ridiculous here. The forum has a very obvious and very hard-lined policy about bootlegging, and you all read (and agreed to) the rules prior to registration. There is absolutely no excuse what-so-ever to be sharing entire-book scans from a release that came out in the past couple of weeks, and one that is available at a reasonable price. We're not talking about an old, out-of-print, genuinely rare release.

This isn't even "Oh, let me sample some of the images to help me decide if I'm buying it" -- this was the entire damn book. Shame on all of you for partaking in that when you agreed otherwise. Any further discussion or involvement in that kind of activity will be grounds for immediate banning.

Question for those who've seen it: does the book contain character designs/sketches from the anime or is it just composed of promotional artwork, posters, etc?

There's one page that shows a few quick sketches, but apart from that it's promo artwork and posters.

Woah, only around 10% of it is NEW art. I was surprised it even had any.
Anyway, mostly old art like movie artwork for posters and such. Such a shame.

How is it a shame? This is the first chance most people will have to own this art (myself included) in an illustration collection.
If it sells well, then we can get more books, with new art.

To me it's a shame because I was looking forward to something new. And you could own old art by buying wallscrolls, posters and calendars and what-not.

I guess to each his own. This book isn't what I imagined it to be at all.
