Not a very productive post.
Did you have the exact same response when you read about the Nicktoons airing? Because... uhh... it will likely be the same thing. 4Kids is doing nothing other than just airing the darn thing.

The man is just clearly bitter with 4Kids. Almost anyone who enjoys the series they rape would be as well. With only one brief exception, they've kept us from getting uncut and japanese language included sets of many series, such as Shaman King, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kinnikuman Nisei (Ultimate Muscle), and for a long time, One Piece. Though, they've started to stream uncut Japanese series, somewhat recently, some wounds are still bitter.
That said, I doubt the dub will be any different between the two channels. Likely, the edits were made to be acceptable for both channels, so we've already seen some of the edits to expect. Better exposure to the series is a good thing at this point, I feel.

This explains why the Nicktoons broadcast is so edited. Like I have said before, if one actually watches the action series that Nicktoons air, one would see that things such as death and violence are not uncommon, in addition to references of all kinds. They basically edited KAI on Nicktoons so it'd be the exact same as the CW11 broadcast, otherwise the Nicktoons version wouldn't be as edited as it will be. In other words... the real reason for KAI's dub editing is 4Kids fault. But FUNimation had no choice; Nicktoons isn't a local channel that any kid can watch on a Saturday morning, so to market KAI to a bigger audience of youths they had to put it on CW11.

I find it funny that even when 4kids is just airing the damn show, people still find a reason to badmouth them.

4Kids is easily badmouthed. The only good thing they ever did was Pokemon... and maybe the 2003 TMNT cartoons... and that one episode of Yu-gi-oh GX where they used the word "Demon".Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:I find it funny that even when 4kids is just airing the damn show, people still find a reason to badmouth them.

Really? Because I remember Ultimate Muscle being horrifying. And I wasn't a regular watcher of the TMNT cartoon. And I guess Shaman King kinda worked. Stupid accents and names aside, it was their only franchise that recognized death, and was really set in Japan.Big Momma wrote:I just thought I'd prep that up a bit for ya'

I never saw the original Ultimate Muscle, so I can't vouch for how faithful it was. But I do remember that I throughly enjoyed the 4kids dub. It was hilarious. Then again...I do tend to like cheesy thingsLance Freeman wrote:Really? Because I remember Ultimate Muscle being horrifying. And I wasn't a regular watcher of the TMNT cartoon. However, I did watch a lot of the TMNT cartoon, and I liked that as well. I hear it's as pretty faithful to the original comics...well, more so than the early 90s cartoon....which isn't saying much, haha

Sorry, sorry, talking about 4Kids tends to send people on all sorts of tangents. We'll be good.VegettoEX wrote:Folks, folks... one last time... DragonBall discussions, please!

So, just so we're clear, 4Kids didn't touch Dragonball Kai. They're just airing it on their channel. No reason to get worried. Some of us are already going to be getting the first Blu-ray (uncut with Japanese language option!) in the next few days.

4kids dubs aren't all that bad. I liked their Yu-Gi-Oh!, GX , 5D's and Pokemon dubs and I'm also being told their Ultimate Muscle dub was good too.Lance Freeman wrote:4Kids is easily badmouthed. Their censorship is a whole other story......
