Dragon Ball Viewing Group/Marathon.
With the release of Dragon Ball Season 5 a couple of months away I thought it would be fun to have a viewing marathon of the entire series. Whilst I appreciate the fact not everyone owns the series, and with the Z portion having not yet been completed in Dragon Box format, I will launch this marathon in September so by the time we have caught up with Z quite a lot of the episodes will have been released.
But what I want to know is whether or not anyone would be intrested in starting up a pocast where we basically come together every week and discuss a certain batch of episodes and different things about them. To anyone who is seriously intrested please post below. To those who are wondering we will be watching the series in subbed format but we will also discuss the dub.
So post below if you're intrested so I have a general idea about how many people want to do it. Should there be a large number then we will rotate people on and off the show. Also post any questions you may have. I know it might seem a way off but I thought it better to ask now.
You must have Skype by the way.

Re: Dragon Ball Viewing Marathon.
I'm definitely interested in doing something like this. I have all of the Dragon Ball 2 disc sets, Vols. 1-3 of the Dragon Boxes, the remaining DBZ singles, and all of the DBGT singles. So aside from Dragon Ball episodes 1-13 I have the means to watch every episode subbed and I'm ready anytime! Let's do it!

This sounds awesome! Unfortunately, I don't own any Dragonball, but once you start Z and GT, I would love to join you guys in an episode or two. PM me when it starts, so I can listen in!

Re: Dragon Ball Viewing Marathon.
Now that I think about it September seems to far away, so would July be alright for everyone? And for the first episode I was thinking we review the Bardock T.V special and talk about it, our thoughts and what our introductions were to the Dragon Ball Anime/Manga and what we thought of it growing up etc.
And also I don't want episodes to last too long so perhaps we could do 2 45 minute episodes per week. I know it might seem difficult to branch a couple of episodes into 45 mins but we will discuss topics accosiated with the series and the episodes. Alos does anyone know a place I could upload this eventually?

Re: Dragon Ball Viewing Group/Marathon.
I agree with July being better than September. Namely because once the school year starts up, I'll have very little time to devote to this.
As far as where to upload podcasts, I've never actually posted podcasts here, but podcastalley.com allows you to after you register, which is free, of course.

Re: Dragon Ball Viewing Group/Marathon.
I don't have a single fuckin' episode of Dragonball. I do have movies 2-4 that were released in the "Dragonball Movie Box Set". I do have 95% of GT, only missing the "Lost Episode" arc, and have the TV special. and have virtually every Dragonball Z episode. On Remastered, Single Disc, or Dragonbox, I have all of Z. I have movies 1-3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13 on DVD.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Re: Dragon Ball Viewing Group/Marathon.
I do enjoy both podcasting and Dragon Ball. I'll just need to get the DB sets. If I can manage it in time, it would be fun to do this, if you don't mind me joining.

Great, I may start this podcast earlier, maybe late may now seeing as a few people are intrested. But what days are ideal for you guys to record. Preferably for me would be Friday or Saturday.

Re: Dragon Ball Viewing Group/Marathon.
Ok sorry for not posting much about this in a while but here goes. I now have the first 3 episodes planned and am hoping to record towards the end of July/early August. I'd record sooner but I'll be going on holiday for 2 weeks so there'll be a bit of a gap between episodes whereas there'll be less so if I begin after. Here's the basic outline for the first 3 episodes.
Each episode we discuss the episode or movie or whatever we're watching as well as talk about 2 side topics, sometimes that are to do with the episodes, sometimes are not. I also put how many people I'll be needing for each episode, so if you're interested I'll put you down. Bearing in mind we're watching the sub so unless it specifically states "Die Hard Dubbie Wanted " (no offence btw) then we won't need you. I don't mind casual dub fans who have seen the episodes once or twice but not people who will defend the dub every time we criticse it. You can be in as many episodes as you like but to be fair I'll say you can be in no more than 2 in a row in case other people want to do it.
Episode 1: 45 - 60 mins.
Episodes/Movies: Bardock the Father of Goku
Topic 1: What were our first thoughts on the Dragon Ball Franchise when we first began watching.
Topic 2: Goku's past, what do we know and what do we need to know before the series begins.
People needed: 1 person.
Current People: TimeCrash4, sumpter360.
Episode 2: 45 - 60 mins.
Episodes: 1,2.
Topic 1: Favourite Dragon Ball Comedy moments.
Topic 2: Favourite Dragon Ball Techniques.
People needed: 3 people.
Episode 3: 45 - 60 mins.
Episodes: 3, 4, 5, 6.
Topic 1: Yamcha: General Thoughts on the Character.
Topic 2: Random Question (I'll compile a list of questions that are completely random for example Who would win in a fight between Appule and Cymbal or How many Saiya-jin does it take to fix a lightbulb and then pull it out of a hat and we then answer it.
People needed: 2 people.

Could you put me down for the Bardock Special ep.? Just let me know when, and I'll be there.
