I'll have it later today, but due to a family visit, won't be able to watch it until the late evening. I'll keep you guys posted as I watch the dub.

You sure? I don't think RightStuf has Saturday shipping, or else I would have mine too.

I received my Dragon Box (ordered from RightStuf obviously) last Saturday, so make of that what you will...

AH!! Then there's still hope!

I just checked my status on the package and apparently it's departed from the UPS place :O!!

Maybe it'll be shipped to me by the local mail.

EDIT: Welp, hope fail. It didn't not arrive today. Monday, it is.

I got my DragonBall Z Kai blu-ray today..
-On the slip inside the blu ray case (Under the discs, reverse side of blue plastic) has an image of vegeta on the left, and episode titles on the right... pretty neat looking..
-No new info on DragonBox Z 4 (inserts anyway didnt check extras or anything yet)..
-The dub, pretty accurate, everyone seems to fit into their voice roles, everyone sounds A LOT calmer, and serious. Especially Vegeta, Piccolo, and Kami.. ha.
-Schemmel (Who I never had a problem with really), I think has the perfect tone for Goku in this.
-No use of the word "ki" in the english dub (only on episode 6)
-In the dub, it's not EXACTLY word for word as the Japanese subtitles, however, the dialogue pretty much has the same meaning; just worded differently. There are some extra uses of comedy thrown in, not frequently, anything outrageous or to the point of being unwatchable... but it is there. I don't mind it personally..
-Uses of "Hell" and "Damn" are used, haven't heard "Shit".
-I love the new Mr. Popo. Haven't heard Karin, Yamcha, or Chaozu yet.
-The dub opening and ending themes are very enjoyable.. Episode titles are pretty much DIRECTLY the same.
-Episode previews are included, and all that.. there is also textless songs on the disc..
-Not sure if Genki Dama is used yet.. so far it's pretty good, I have to say.

----> No preview for DragonBox Z4 only the regular dragonball z kai preview is there, with some other anime shows.
-----> Sabat does Yamcha as well in the dub.
------> Gohan sounds so much better. Especially when he fights. ha

So are there alternate angles, or are there only English title cards/openings/endings/etc?

So far only English Title cards and openings.. but they do credit all the japanese work in the credits.
And only english title cards, but again.. they're direct translations of the japanese version, so it's not a big deal to me, i know it will be to some tho.

Could you perhaps write down the lyrics for the dubbed ending because it was hard to hear with the cam rip?

Mikey, you should at least post what we both attempted to hear when we had the cam rip footage to save some time as it wasn't all wrong :P

Give your life, don't stop until you've shot
Once you root for love then you've already won

Bring on the power through the infinite sky
I never thought that it would come to this
Just take my hand and together we'll fly
Let's go, fly now, how high?

Soar above the clouds and see such
Beauty all around
This irreplaceable world in the sky
We have to join in the fight

Do your own flying Kamehameha
Give your all, don't ever give up
When we're together, I know we can win
I'll help you if you need it!

Give your life, don't stop until you've shot
Give your all, don't ever give up
All you need is love and to believe in yourself to take you to where you believe

I know the first line at least is wrong.

Remember when this thread was about the dub, not about people wondering when their sets will arrive?

Can you give us an examples of the dub humor thrown in?

Chris Sabat is playing Vegeta, Piccolo, AND Yamcha again?

Just when I was starting to get my hopes up. And inserted humor, too? Great, because we know how funny the scriptwriters at Funimation are, am I right?

Better here than in another meaningless "my set shipped!" thread. It's fine where it is, methinks.

Caaalm down. I'm pretty sure the "added humor" is less like the old dubs and more like what they do with One Piece.

Though yeah... not a fan of Sabat playin' all three of them AGAIN...

Yeah sure... When Goku talks to Master Roshi from Kai's Planet, Master roshi is looking at porn as usual, and he says "Hmmmm You've been a naughty girl haven't you..." Which I found hillarious.. lol
But then there's another when chichi passes out as she finds out that goku died and gohan was taken by piccolo, ox king says "Oh No chichi!! Krillin get the smelling salts!" Which I thought they could've just left it at... "Oh no! Chichi!!"
I mean the dub isn't bad at all, no added stupid mistranslated lines, again it's not word for word exact, but it gets the same point across..

Wasn't there a line like that in the original Ocean or FUNimation dub?

I don't get it... Weren't they trying to get rid of shit like this?
