"Perfect" Editions .... riiiiight....
This may have already been discussed in an older thread (I wouldn't know), but why are the new manga volumes known as "Kanzenban" ("Perfect Editions") if they don't include all the stuff that was in the old Jump Comics tankoubon? I mean, sure, the color volumes are all there, and that's GREATLY appreciated (they're the sole reason I bought the Kanzenban), but these new compilations don't contain Toriyama's original jacket quips, nor any of the "Ask-Me-Anything" corners. Plus (and this is just a pointless gripe), the panels that trail off-page often don't show as much of the picture as in the old volumes. So much for "Perfect"...
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.
It's a perfect version of Dragon Ball. The Kanzenban have nothing to do with little insert comics, Toriyama Q&As, those Toriyama profile things, banners over the cover art, etc.
It's just a perfect presentation of the original manga. Pure white pages, pure black *solid* inking, color restored, etc. Plus, if you prefer the original printings, it's not exactly like they're hard to find...

Kanzenban doesn't necessarily mean "perfect edition." It could also be translated as "special edition" (at least, I think). It's perfect manga-wise, as DBW just stated, as in the quality and representation of the manga.

What is this "ode" anyway? And which of Vegeta's deaths are you talking about? Just out of curiosity.omae no kaasan wrote:Well it's not as if the tanks are 'perfect' either. Go find me Vegeta's ode in the chapter he died. Unless you're clever and have the right material, you can't.

Well, it really is "Complete Edition." It could be interpreted as special, as it is a special release. Unless I'm wrong, which is usually the case.DBW wrote:No, it literally does mean perfect edition...![]()
