Holy crap, it must suck right, it is an AMV after all. Well, I tried to make one that didn't suck. But, that's your judgment. It takes clips from Budokai 2 and 3's Opening, plus Saga's opening. (Thanks to here at Daizenshuu EX for those 3 games clips) I tried to make what was on the screen fit with the beat of the music. Since Kai has come out, I went and re-did this and no animation (like the old having CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA footage from the original opening footage) in this feels out of place now, I also took parts from Kai's opening to make it look like a reflect of the Death Note version even more.
This was the same AMV as my previous account, however, some has been switched in it for Kai opening footage.
I also threw in a few visual jokes/cues. Like at about 0:31 you hear "Mirai" when Future Trunks is diving for the Dragon Ball. Also at the very end when Goku and Vegeta fuse into Vegetto, comparing it to the Death Note opening, it seems like it's making Vegetto seem like a God. But that's up to you.
Also, Goku and Vegeta actually fighting that was taken from the Kai opening, is reflected the stare down between Light and L in the Death Note opening.
I also am aware "The World" isn't really a song for Dragon Ball. I just really love the song and wanted to see what I could get sych together.
But, because of that there's reasons why I chose Piccolo Daimao getting torn through at "Dare mo ga nozonda owari wo!" Which is roughly "The ending that everyone has desired!" actually I used that in my English fandub of it, but that's still an accurate translation. Same with Shen Long at 0:36 "Yume risou ni kaeru!" which is roughly "I will make all of my ideals real!"
Also, at 0:51 why Goku and Freeza clashing when the rubble starts 'cause in the Death Note opening it shatters an image of Light showing he's lost his mind. But, works here cause it still sounds like something's breaking. I know I'm explaining too much, but still.
Hopefully, this isn't bad.
Enjoy!

As with "The World" AMV it takes clips from Budokai 2 and 3's Opening, plus Saga's opening. (Thanks to here at Daizenshuu EX for those 3 games clips) I tried to make what was on the screen fit with the beat of the music, also took clips from Kai. Same concept as "The World" AMV, newer (digital) Dragon Ball clips being set to the music while trying to follow the flow of the Death Note animation too.
Unlike, "The World" I didn't place any intentional cues but I noticed when the animation has Goku dieing from the Makankosappo the lyrics seem to fit it right now. I also tried not to reuse the exact sames bits as "The World". But, if I did it doesn't seem to overused.
I'm well aware "The World" and "Alumina" aren't really suited for Dragon Ball; but, I did this for fun.

Re: Dragon Ball Kai: AMV - The World
Might I ask why SSJ4 Goku is in there when it's DBK? And it doesn't even look that good for SSJ4. His face looks weird. Krillin w/no hair plus Goten and Trunks = Impossible Situation. I liked the High Quality DB Scenes, makes up for the GT reference and the weird plot holes
Overall I thought it was pretty good and the Quality of it is simply amazing. I actually favorited it because of that. Simply some of the highest quality I've seen on Youtube. From the moment Vegetto enters to the end is pretty good.

Re: Dragon Ball Kai: AMV - The World
I just called it DBK, since that was the highest quality for a title I could find. I originally had SSJ4 in there the first time around. Yeah, those plot holes are in there. But, since this is just a for fun AMV I did, I wasn't worried about continuity. Plus, since that was digital footage (Budokai 3 opening), I felt it would work even if it actually doesn't make sense for a Kai AMV. Maybe, Krillin got his hair cut?Zionist wrote:Might I ask why SSJ4 Goku is in there when it's DBK? And it doesn't even look that good for SSJ4. His face looks weird. The reason it probably still looks nice for YouTube is that the video is streaming at 2MB (2,060 kb) a second.
I'm thinking about doing an Alumina AMV but the base is about Vegeta or Freeza since that seems like it could fit them.

You know those are intro's to the video games, right?Zionist wrote:Might I ask why SSJ4 Goku is in there when it's DBK? And it doesn't even look that good for SSJ4. His face looks weird. Krillin w/no hair plus Goten and Trunks = Impossible Situation.

Wait, where did some of that footage come from? I think I've seen it on another video somewhere. Like the Giran scene, Vegetto, Piccolo Daimao? Where is that from? A video game opening?

Yeah, all of those are video game scenes. Vegetto (Budokai 2), Giran and Piccolo Daimao came from the opening video of Sagas, perhaps the only great thing to come from it (new animation), hahaha.Kiyza wrote:Wait, where did some of that footage come from? He told me afterwards. Previous to that no. I've only played like 2 DBZ games and they were for Playstation 2 IIRC and they followed the Z timeline. Can't remember the name of it...So there's my reasoningBig Momma wrote:You know those are intro's to the video games, right?

I love Death Note and Dragonball so I'm a little biased but I think it's cool. You managed to sync it up pretty well for the most part! Keep on doing AMVs I think you can make some extremely great with a little bit more practice.

Re: Dragon Ball Kai: AMV - The World
Thank you, yeah. I actually like this song a lot, than I thought? Why not make a reflection of the Death Note version, make an AMV parody of it. I just knew that certain clips would work automatically. Like Goku and Freeza shattering the rocks, which works well with the breaking glass sound. Just simple things. Yeah, I felt really good about this, I probably (will) mostly likely make more AMV's.Blue wrote:I love Death Note and Dragonball so I'm a little biased but I think it's cool. I've added another AMV to the first post.
