It's pretty hypocritical on a board where everybody's been reiterating their opinions for a decade.
Most people save it for when it's most appropriate. Not when they're reminded that they have them.

ULTIMATE FORKING PWNAGE.

I think Schemmel's revised Goku sounds awesome.

And while your opinion remains consistent, penguintruth, it's not like every time I overhear somebody speaking about corn on the cob that I say;

"I hate corn on the cob, and if for some reason you do like it, then you never really understood corn, sport."

Can anyone post a clip of the iconic "Elite VS Lower-class" exchange between Goku and Vegeta before they fight? I'm curious to hear how it turned out. :P

Well can't post a clip, but I can tell you that it turned out really well and is very accurate. Basically Vegeta tells Goku that he's an outcast and how he will show him "a wall he could never scale through effort alone".

Matter of fact, I just started watching the box set again only this time with the Japanese subtitles turned on while watching with English audio.

There's hardly any differences at all, and many of them are there for the sake of mouth flaps alone.

Wow, that's exactly what was said in the Japanese, wasn't it? I know it's what I read in the "Attack of the Saiyans" game captions.

Nice.

Isn't one of the video game scenes of that moment pretty accurate as well? I do remember Sabat's "Hmph! you're quite the comedian!" line, which sounded FUNi-esque. But the "wall" thing was definitely in there.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Does this board have one?

How are you guys watching clips of Goku's fight with Vegeta? It's not been released on DVD yet. Has it?

While I like MasakoX's Goku voice, am I the only one that thinks his voice is only good for a parody? I mean, like I said, it's good... but I wouldn't want him as Goku in an official dub. I grew up with Schemmel as Goku so I think he has the best voice for him. :)
Agreed. MasakoX's Goku really captures the cheerful, goofy side of him but when it comes to the angry, pissed off side of him, I don't think he can deliver the same way Schemmel or Corlett can.

And is it just me, or do all of MasakoX's voices some extremely similar?

They order them from Rightstuff and that site ship stuff earlier than the released date(3,2 or 1 weeks early)

How was it not appropriate? MugiMikey said he likes Schemmel voicing Gokuh because he grew up with it. Growing up with Schemmel as Gokuh doesn't mean someone would like him by default; there has to be other reasons to it.

Vegeta said "super-elite" a lot. And nothing about joining him, of course.

Bought it off RightStuf. They ship early. :)

Well yeah, like I said, I think the guy's perfect for Goku. And growing up listening to him as Goku did help, because I've grown accustomed to him. He's earned nothing but respect from me ever since I started watching. :P Besides Sean Schemmel and Masako Nozawa, it's hard to picture anyone else voicing Goku. For me, at least...

Yeah, the video games don't really lend themselves to great acting, dub wise. That BT3 clip I posted? The mouth flaps stop midsentence to show us Vegeta moving up and down.
