Goku100xKamehameha; you should create your own topic in the Fan works section of the board, because I'm pretty sure no-one here cares about you slapping random calendar images on top of FUNimation's template, I'm checking this thread hoping for more dub clips and comparison images, not your adventures with MSpaint.

The word "KAI" means in the old North Germanic language Frisian "Kämpfer engl. Fighter" respectively "Krieger engl. Warrior"!

I've already made this point a few times before as well. Seems nobody really cares, though, and just thinks that every last frame needs to be photo-perfect.

C'mon guys....the re-drawn scenes are done with flash...they'll never be perfect.

I've given up on the re-animated scenes, but the completely new footage? I think that Vegeta is unacceptable, haha.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Again - it's in-between animation. Those kinds of things are in Z, too.

I can't believe you guys are going through the footage frame by frame looking for wonky looking shots.
Most of which can't even be seen without pausing the video.
If I was sad enough I could pull literally thousands of them from from DBZ, so don't act like it was a perfect production.

Except Z is 20 years old, Kai is brand new. You expect more from newer shows.

Not when anime nowadays is done mostly with flash.

Ugh...I how I hate flash animation...

Okay. There's only one way to settle this. Someone go through the opening animation for DBZ (because the highest quality animation is always put into the opening, be it Z or Kai) and try to find an in-between shot as BAD as the ones pulled out of Kai. I'm not saying it can't be done, although I have to say I don't think so. But, one way or another, that will put an end to this argument.

Hmm. Debatable... Yamucha looks pretty decent. Not at his best but certainly okay for a quick in-between. Gohan looks pretty weird, but keep in mind that he was just whacked in the face as Yamucha flew by. And it's just that one eye that looks weird. The rest of his body and face looks perfectly good. Still don't think it's nearly as bad as that Vegeta shot. This isn't just "find a weird expression." I mean, you can freeze frame a live action film and find plenty of real people looking completely ridiculous for a frame due to being in the middle of some action (in fact, it's sometimes a hobby of mine when I'm bored). We're talking about characters drawn completely half-assed, barely resembling what they're supposed to look like.

*Head Desk*
All aboard the serious bias train.

The animation is more fluid in Kai thus the more tween shots there are. Of course you'll find more exaggerated tween shots in Kai because there are more in general.

Got my DVD set at F.Y.E. today, traded in my orange bricks, a few movie tins, and some other stuff, had enough for Kai and more, so good for me.

The dub's pretty good so far, though I do wish they would have been able to get new animation...or at least uncensored varieties.
