I believe that the first Ginyu disc begins with episode 68. That means there's 67 episodes to plow through.
Let's ignore the first 3 episodes, and get us down to 64 episodes left. There's two volumes coming out in June, at three episodes a piece. That means that there will (hopefully) be six episodes every two months.
Basically, in the ideal world that never happens simply because it's FUNimation, we'll see the release the entire first two seasons by the first quarter 2007. We can assume that with DBZ movie 11 coming out this year, that (hopefully) they'll push out DBZ movies 12 & 13 in 2006, which leaves 2007 solely with these redubs for the DB property...
Unless, of course, we finally get a sub-license expiration and the first 13 episodes / 1st movie of DB, and there's always DB movie 2...

The last episode of season 2 of the dub ended during Japanese episode 67, the first episode of season 3 of the dub also has a few minutes (7 or 8 I think) of footage from episode 67 at the start before mixing with footage from episode 68, so the dub is a little out of synch.
As to when these episodes end..... thats a good question (Different sources report different episode numbers, plus they are using a wonky numbering system for the re-release anyway). One would think after episode 67, but then again maybe to get the dub back in synch they will reauthor the Ginyu discs as well (If they haven't done it under our noses already)?

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if they "re-dub" their own last couple of minutes of the actual episode 67 for the dub portion of the disc. Technically all of 68 is available in Japanese on that disc, but the dub has parts of 67 before going into 68...Kodoshin wrote:The last episode of season 2 of the dub ended during Japanese episode 67, the first episode of season 3 of the dub also has a few minutes (7 or 8 I think) of footage from episode 67 at the start before mixing with footage from episode 68, so the dub is a little out of synch.

It's a mess

Also, and I plan to address some of this in a feature I'm working on, but the numbering system on the redub is simply 1, 2, 3 for this first disc. Yeah. Completely destroys any sense they have with their own dub numbering, but at least it's technically correct

If the redub continues to have three episodes per disc, and two discs are released in a bimonthly schedule, we can expect this:
June 2005: Vol. 2 & 3, episodes 4-9
August 2005: Vol. 4 & 5, episodes 10-15
Oct. 2005: Vol. 6 & 7, episodes 16-21
Dec. 2005: Vol. 8 & 9, episodes 22-27
Feb. 2006: Vol. 10 & 11, episodes 28-33
April 2006: Vol. 12 & 13, episodes 34-39
June 2006: Vol. 14 & 15 episodes 40-45
(Viz will be done with the manga by then)
Aug. 2006: Vol. 16 & 17, episodes 46-51
(Hopefully, movie 13 will be released around this time...)
Oct. 2006: Vol. 18 & 19, episodes 52-57
Dec. 2006: Vol. 20 & 21, episodes 58-63
Feb. 2007: Vol. 22, episodes 64-67(?)
Of course, that's only an educated guess, and could end up being completly off for whatever reasons.
How many DVDs can the Vegeta Saga starter box set hold? That might give an idea how long that part of the redub will take.
June 2005: Vol. 2 & 3, episodes 4-9
August 2005: Vol. 4 & 5, episodes 10-15
Oct. 2005: Vol. 6 & 7, episodes 16-21
Dec. 2005: Vol. 8 & 9, episodes 22-27
Feb. 2006: Vol. 10 & 11, episodes 28-33

I somehow doubt that FUNImation will be that generous.Kodoshin wrote:Yeah it's tough to say what the release pattern is gonna be at this point, what I'm hoping for is that once they finish with the Saiyaman discs, we get 3 discs every 2 months.
But just to entertain the idea, it would change the release schedule to this (assuming the last volume of GS is released in November):
Dec. 2005: Vol. 8, 9 & 10 episodes 22-30
Feb. 2006: Vol. 11, 12 & 13, episodes 31-39
April 2006: Vol. 14, 15 & 16, episodes 40-48
June 2006: Vol. 17, 18 and 19, episodes 49-57
Aug. 2006: Vol. 20, 21 & 22, episodes 58-67

Here is my personal review on the first UUE DVD: http://www.dbzoa.net/modules.php?op=mod ... 173&page=1 .
As far as Broly Second Coming, it kicked ass, Japanese and English versions (however the English version just about completly changes Goku's dialouge at the end, morons trying to rule the viewers' interprutations again), though the DVD menus and extras could of been a lot better.
Going a tad off subject, Broly's DU in Budokai 3 was SO kick-ass, killing every member of Goku's family (even Chichi), there's just really nothing like it.
