Post by Tanooki Kuribo » Fri Apr 15, 2005 2:05 pm

I remeber seeing an ad for DBZ TV Games a long time ago, has anyone seen or heard anything about this? Has it even been released?

Heheh, those screenshots are still from the Budokai series? :P I wonder whether the TV games are really like that... ;)

Well they got TV games to do Genesis games, but I doubt it'll be Budokai graphics - it would be neat if they put the old SNES fighters on there though.

There's hundreds of pirate TV games filled with Famicom/NES roms on the market, I'm sure at least one of them contains a DBZ game.

(Yeah, I have one of those. It's one of the luxury variants that play actual Famicom carts as well. Really cool, even if the roms included are on the sucky side.)

I wouldn't have thought they would have had a generic, 2600-looking joystick...

And look! The cover to the newest Tips & Tricks is on there! :p
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

LOL, that's exactly what I thought too! It must not be a very complicated game if it plays on an Atari 2600 joystick. There couldn't be more than 2 bottons on the thing! And if you've ever played a 2600, you'd know that it's not a very comfortable controller to hold.

It's actually several different mini-games, at least according to the product info in our POS system at Gamestop. It's been listed *forever* though and has been continually pushed back for at least a year now, so I have trouble believing any release dates.

Games will offer 3 unique games ranging from Z ball-inspired pinball action, classic head-to-head fighting, and paddle/ball based fury. Only the strongest will survive the ultimate test of the Dragon Ball Z challenge. Are you prepared for the battle?
Pinball and paddle games...my favorite.

Looks like it will be Buu Yuu Retsuden/Super Butoden graphics:

Could be nice, IMO. :)
Don't pay attention to the Budokai shots though.

Dude, was that a Pong-type game with Gokuu and Vegeta? That rules.

The music is bland, but those games actually look pretty fun. I will definitely be picking this up, that trailer sparked my curiosity like none other.

Looks like a nice back-to-basics kind of turn for Dragonball Z. It's definitely refreshing from what we've seen in terms of games for the last 3 years.

I'll pick it up.

The one with the 2D graphics looks kinda fun.
I could probably make that in Game Maker...if I knew what the hell they were doing. :P

ALL the TV Games have decent controlers. What's with the crappy joystick for DBZ?

I remember seeing that Batman game on Reviews on the Run (a video game TV show). That one is pretty cool. I haven't seen the others though.

Say Leotaku, is this 'videogame tv show' hosted by Victor Lucas, and Tommy Talarico by chance?
