Japanese GPS System narrated by Cell (Norio Wakamoto)
Japanese GPS System narrated by Cell (Norio Wakamoto)
I did a search, and nobody brought this up, so I decided to make a thread about it.
As most of you probably know, that disembodied voice that comes out of a GPS is actually provided by someone, as in they get someone into a booth and record it like they would an anime.
In Japan, Norio Wakamoto (Known for his role as Cell in Dragon Ball Z, and most recently Alexander Anderson in the Hellsing OVA) has provided his voice for a GPS System.
And here it is!

Being a Hellsing fan, I find this hysterical because he sounds exactly the same as when he plays Anderson, only minus the token "AMEN!"s usually peppered in his dialog,
But regardless, it's Cell! Doing a GPS!
What my fellow denizens if Daizex think of this?

I wonder if Cell is going to guide people right to him, no matter what directions they may ask for.

The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I'm no Japanese expert, but is it normal for some of those syllables to be drawn out so long?

"AMENS!" be damned, I just wish he'd give directions in his Engrish Anderson voice.DemonRin wrote:I find this hysterical because he sounds exactly the same as when he plays Anderson, only minus the token "AMEN!"s usually peppered in his dialog.

I'd hate to be #17 or #18 in a car with that GPS device.Raki wrote:I wonder if Cell is going to guide people right to him, no matter what directions they may ask for.

I wouldn't trust Cell to navigate me.
But I would trust Oscar von Reuental!

The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

This is going to lead everyone straight to the Cell games.

That is almost as good as the Billy Connolly GPS voiceover. Almost.
