Why Do You Like GT?
Same as above, why do you like GT? is it because SSJ 4,OP or other. as for me I like GT because of the OP,everything from second half of Baby arc to the end of GT and SSJ 4.

I loved GT because it brought back that feel of adventure and humour that Dragon Ball Z lacked. Also, had a wonderful soundtrack and I loved every bit of GT, despite many fans not liking it. I enjoyed watching it and had fun, and it's not so dragged out either.

I loved GT! Sure, it's not Z, but one should not compare the two series. I loved the soundtrack and the fights were pretty good, not to mention the character designs. It had a very different and somewhat dark feel to it and at the same time was humorous.

For those who read all the manga, GT is a good extra for them. It's something new for anyone who wants more of Dragon Ball beyond the original series. Sure, it got flaws, but it's not like the original doesn't have some.
And like dragondyle said, it brought back the adventure setting from Dragon Ball that is missing in Z.

Re: Why Do You Like GT?
I loved how GT had Goku, Trunks and Pan collecting Dragon Balls in space which was sort of a throw back to the original Dragon Ball. I also loved how GT revisited the whole "Tsufurian revenge" theme except it was executed way better than the OVA. And finally, I loved GT's ending. It was definately the way the Dragon Ball series as a whole deserved to end.
So yeah, those are the three main reason as to why I like GT.

Re: Why Do You Like GT?
The characters finally change their clothes. After all the overexposure Z gets (and elenty-billion video games), I can almost forgive all GT's stupidity just because the characters aren't wearing the same goddamn outfits they put on at the 21st Tournament.

Re: Why Do You Like GT?
I basically liked DBGT because it was a continuation of a show I had grown to love (continuity issues aside). SSJ4 was a cool concept. I enjoyed how they tried to work the Golden Oozaru into the story. I thought Bebi was a good villian. The concept of him being the vessel of the Tuffle race (a la Brainiac) was kind of cool. Also he actually came close to winning.
What I found interesting, was how he turned the tables by enslaving all of Earth, taking over his nemesis Vegeta, and making Goku the odd man out when he returned from space. In a warped way, Goku was the villian and Bebi was protecting his planet from him. He had the support of the whole planet (although they were enslaved), Goku's and Vegeta's kids and wife rallied behind him, and he even had his own version of the Spirit Bomb. He was like an anti-Goku. And even had his own version of the Spirit Bomb (using the energy of the people he enslaved).
Even though this arc could have been done better, it was refreshing to see a villian win or come close compared to American cartoons where the villian rarely wins on the grand scale. I mean if they had of expanded on this, it could have been a homage to Goku’s and Vegeta’s first battle (in some ways it was). I wished that Vegeta could have somehow kept the “Bebei Vegeta” look as a new power up (in contrast to SSJ3 or 4).
Also, in agreement with many others, the ending was good in that it provided "real" closure so to speak.
The Super 17 was a good arc. However, it seemed rushed and it was hard (for me) to believe he was supposed to be stronger than Cell.
And the best part? We find out Goku can really shake'em down.

Re: Why Do You Like GT?
I used to hate GT for its plotholes and whatnot. But somewhere along the line I became interested in the Expanded Universes of all my favorite mediums because they expanded the adventures and stories. So I grew to accept GT and came up with my own explanations for the various plotholes and the series pretty much just grew on me. I love SSJ4 and I love the ending, which always felt like a much better ending for the saga as a whole than either Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z's did.

Re: Why Do You Like GT?
The score was absolutely amazing, was it Akihito Tokunaga that did it? It's a shame that it was unreleased though because I really enjoyed it.
Both the openings (the difference being the last 5-10 seconds) and the four endings are brilliant too, perfect choice of songs and the animation is great! I loved how they animated some of the pictures in the endings that we later find in the Daizenshuu Complete Illustrations book.
As for the story itself, some of the plotholes were a bit annoying but as there were plotholes in the original manga too by Toriyama, I let that pass. GT was also fast paced as there was no manga to be relative with, so that kinda helped when wanting to progress through the story quickly.
Although the transformation process to SSJ4 and Vegeta's "cheating" way bugged a lot of us, I just love the look of SSJ4, it's different. I think the gold hair in just another form would have gotten boring.
The finale at the end was so perfect, especially since Toriyama ended it rather dully at the end of Z which was kinda of a downer. The flashback of the events throughout the previous shows with Dan Dan Kokoro Hikarateku playing in the background made me cry.
Overall I think GT was the hangover of the original DB and Z seeing as they were one amazing ride. I think you know hate some parts of GT, but you just don't regret watching it.

Re: Why Do You Like GT?
GT had some decent animation, good music, and I like the fight sceens in the Bebi Saga & Shadow Dragon Saga. I would like the Super 17 Saga a bit better if it was longer and more original.

Re: Why Do You Like GT?
Yes. A lot, actually.
I love the epilogue-ish tone it has. I love that it put emphasis back on the actual Dragon Balls. I love the color palette. I love the exotic locales and interestingly super-powered villains (they get much more creative than the manga). I love the soundtrack. Finally, I like what it did with the ending, although I'm also okay with where the manga stopped.
The most common complaint I see about GT, other than "Oh noes! Toriyama didn't write it!", are its plot holes. I've yet to find one egregious enough to ruin the series for me, other than a little over-the-top Goku love. And at least he's a fun character when he's a cocky kid. Also, it's Dragon Ball. There are going to be things that don't make sense. A lot of them.

Re: Why Do You Like GT?
It felt very late-to-current Toriyama-ish, with its unique style, and for the most part, paced itself nicely. If you shut your brain off and ignore that anything prior to GT exists, it's not too shabby.

There's some really cool animation, ideas, and villains presented. The music is also good, but I think a lot of what draws me is the great animation and art days. Seriously:

I enjoy the BGM of GT, and really like some of the ideas that GT had. The return of Oozaru & SSj4 looked amazing!

Re: Why Do You Like GT?
Pretty much why I put cheating in speech marks, I just didn't like the way he got to SSJ4 you know? I was hoping for another amazing 3 minutes like we got with Goku's first super saiyajin transformation, Trunks' emotional switch in the TV special and something along the lines of Goku turning super oozaru.Rocketman wrote:Oh bull.
