Sure. SB1's story mode was just a rehashed and stretched out version of movie 12, complete with an awkward translation and Broly loving (who didn't even appear in that movie).

SB2's story mode featured a weird and extremely clunky world map thing where you had to fly around and battle with enemies such as Dabra and Cell arc Gohan (yes, seriously) in order to stop them destroying cities.

I liked the writing for SB1. It was punchy and funny, with many inside jokes and mythology gags, and probably the most swearing of any US DBZ release.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I was talking about the gameplay. The "world map thing" that I mentioned takes up a huge part of it. I didn't think I had to mention the fighting because it's pretty similar to Budokai 3.

Thanks for clearing that up, because I never really was aware of that.

Yeah, don't really bother with the Shin Budokai series. Stick to Budokai 3 or Infinite World.

I'm sick of your anti-Budokai (attitude? slant? viewpoints?). It's ridiculous. Heck, (I'm sick of your) anti-anything that wasn't made by Spike.

Story mode should NEVER be a selling point in a fighting game - gameplay means the core gameplay mechanics (huh?). (I'm talking about) the things you can do with the meat and bones of the game, the fighting.

Shin Budokai 2 is the best iteration in the entire Budokai series because its core mechanics are better than B1-3 and heck even Infinite World.

I disagree. The Shin Budokai games are for the PSP. They're portable games, you shouldn't expect them to hold a candle to something for the home consoles. These games are meant to kill a little time while your waiting on the bus, etc. I think that, for a couple of the only widely-available portable DBZ games, they're pretty good.

I'm gonna get it just for Vegetto. I wish someone had told me earlier about that.

I'm with Daimaoh on avoiding Shin Budokai, they really simplified the fighting system for those games. Instead of having a punch and a kick button, you have a light attack and heavy attack button. The problem with this is the heavy attack button is a charge attack, which will end any combo, meaning you just hammer on one button until you want to end your combo, then hit the triangle button. Burst Limit unfortunately kept this system of fighting too. Budokai 3/Infinite World isn't super deep, but you aren't just hitting one button over and over again.

I think you're underestimating the mechanics of both the Budokai/IW style AND the SB/BL style. They're both deep and aren't just about mashing some buttons over and over. You have quite a few combos for each character and the real meat of the gameplay is in combo canceling.

Although I also dislike the SB/BL direction of the gameplay, a lot of Budokai vets actually prefer the new style as it helps them cancel easily when one button is dedicated to charge moves.

Incorrect. The Heavy Attack button was by no means an automatic "combo ender." The heavy and light attacks could be combined in a multitude of different ways and combinations. Every character had several dozen different combos they could pull off. Trust me, I know; Shin Budokai 2 was my sole source of enjoyable DBZ gaming for over a year.

I haven't played a lick of Burst Limit, though. So if it was the same way, I wouldn't know.

Burst Limit lacks the Aura Dash that the Shin Budokai series introduced.

If only it had that, pursuit finishers (eg Goku would use a Kamehameha after 3 pursuit attacks in SB2, everyone had their own finishers) and World Tournement.

So... did I miss something, or did y'alls already know Ginyu, Jeice, Kid Gohan, and Krillin were confirmed?

(Yes, it says Raging Blast 2, but it is clearly incorrect)

Ugh, that artwork is terrible! Krillin's head is so ridiculously fucking huge! It looks like his brain is about to explode...

Man, that trailer looks pretty sweet actually. Consider my interest piqued.

Wow!!
This game looks graphically superior to any Dragon Ball Spike game ever produced. It almost looks like it has some kind of (dare I say it) art direction!!
I'm interested for the look of the game alone, looks very impressive for a PSP title.

you do know this game was made by Spike right?

The game looks nice but it still has that gross Tenkaichi feel(super forehead Krillin and block hands for the win).
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?
