Lol that's very forward of you
Well I kinda am and I'm kinda not.
I used to watch Dragon Ball Z and GT when I was young, but I never bought anything other then action figures to play with.I loved both DBZ and GT.Unfortunately(I don't know why), I never got to watch DB because it was never shown(Still haven't watched it).On Toonami,it was only DBZ and GT.So now I have realised,''wow, there's a lot of stuff out now and it's still coming out''.
So I know only what others have told me about all the season sets and Dragon Boxes. Thus,I am basically a ''N0ob'' when it comes to DB/DBZ/GT.
So...does that answer your question?

Well if you never watch DB how about buying DB season sets it's in 4:3 but zoom a little

Yes I love GT and DBZ.I guess I love it because it was only DBZ or GT that was on when I was young so I became accustomed to it!
And also that I couldn't pickup any flaws from it because again I was young.

I'm 16 and I watched DBZ and GT when I was... well, actually, I can't remember what age I was, but it had to be in the 90's or early 2000's. But only recently did I see how popular it was, and I felt really nostalgic. That's the thing driving me to own the whole series DB/DBZ/GT and watch it all over again!

The only really big problem with the double features is that the JP audio track sounds like crap. A Dragon Box release would have high quality stereo audio.

That, and incorrectly placed openings...

Having a slightly wrong opening isn't "a big problem", it's a minor inconvenience. Having the JP audio track sounding like crap, on the other hand, actually IS a big problem.

My biggest beefs are actually with the insert songs being turned into instrumentals for the dubbed presentation. I mean, they were left as-is in the original Pioneer releases, but all vocals were stripped in the double features, perhaps even the FUNimation-produced singles, but I never really bought those. The sequences don't make much sense with only the music.

Double Features Jap audio is 48 Kbps and US DBox is 96 Kbps so it's 2 times more better than DF but the real DBox is far more than 96 Kbps it's like more than 400+ Kbps

The thing about that is that the Japanese track was recorded ONLY in mono, so they remastered it the best they can with what they had. That's what made Kai such a big deal, that it was recorded the series in stereo.

If you want to have high quality audio of the movies wait for Funi's DBox the movies. if you want to watch the movies now just buy the BD version of DF.

Yeah, but they will probably be released after the Dragon Boxes, which will probably stop releasing in May 2011(rough guesstimate)...

Anyone ever checkout the original R2 Dragon Box Z's or even the single discs to see if this was the same way on them?

That looks nearly as bad as the old FUNimation single DVD's encoding...

Omg...Supermart are taking the piss.
I ordered Dragon Box 1 and 3 from Supermart, through Play.com on the 9th of May.Today is the 16th, I think, and the status has not changed from ''packing''.I sent 3 emails.First email asking for extra packaging. No reply.Second email asking when the status will change from ''packing''(Thursday). No reply.Third email included me ranting at how they haven't replied to my emails, and also how they haven't posted or changed the status on my FUCKING order!Oh and guess what?NO REPLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What am I to do?
It feels like a conspiracy
