Better story mode? The story mode in Raging Blast is basically an abridged retelling of the Z portion (with the addition of "what-ifs"), just like pretty much every DB fighter that's come out in recent years.

He doesn't mean the actual story. He means the story mode, as in, how it's played. Like how Budokai 2's story mode is a board game.

That doesn't sound like using animated cutscenes, that sounds like what BT3 did with story events occurring in the battle.
What?

What?
Traditional Cutscenes = What Budokai 1 or Sagas used. IE: Actual cutscenes.

Telling the story as it unfolds = What BT3 did. IE: Having dialogue play over the fight, having the fight 'pause' for quick exchanges of words or shifts in character control, etc.

Actually, we're working on the first episode of a Hannah Montana anime.
That's depressing actually...

My post count is quite lucky.
Not really. More money for Toei.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Both. Yes it was "an abridged retelling of the Z portion." BUT,we have already played that so many times and BETTER. On Playstation 2 no-less. So you have to add that to the equation. Also yes it played through better.

Still the Hannah Montana game was horrible and I never want to play it again. Much like Raging Blast.

Of course, I just mean that Hannah Montana is popular enough even over in Japan that she gets her own anime series... :?

I wonder if someone will make Hannah Montana: The Movie: The Anime: The Game. I love titles like that!

Oh right. I haven't played that Hannah Montana game, but there's no way it can be better than Raging Blast.

P.S That board game in Budokai 2 sucked. I want to play DBZ not monopoly dammit. :P

I absolutely loved the Budokai 2 board game style. I have no Idea why people hate it so much.

B2's board game style was fun at first, but it needed a few tweaks. Like:

- Being able to start on any level you wanted, after beating it once, instead of having to re-do it all. Extra characters to pick from, like "Teen" Gohan. Seriously, what the hell? We get an Android/Cell board but we can't use "Teen" Gohan in the story mode?

- Everyone being animated like Goku was, instead of those little cardboard cut out things.

- Not being required to use Goku all the time (IIRC, you were, but it has been a while since I've touched B2).

- More unique and interesting dialogues between various characters. Goku's lines to the Saibarangers were fun, as were many of the other 'bonus' lines. Likewise, the various extra 'story' lines were nice to find (such as if you had Krillin face off against 18).

- More than one board for the entirety of the Androids/Cell arcs. I mean, they broke down the Saiya-jin/Freeza stuff by saga (Saiya-jin, Ginyu, Namek... sorta) so... why didn't we at least get separate Androids and Cell boards? Especially since they broke the Buu Saga up into so many different boards.

- More stuff on the boards, like more effect spots and such.

Same here, though to be fair my experience with it is quite limited. :?

People hated it because it had nothing on the awesomeness that was the cutscenes in the first Budokai. I remember anticipating that game like crazy just to see how the story mode would look in terms of graphics. It was a dissapointment, but I still enjoyed the game.

Damn, what just disturbs me is how can anyone ever watch something like Hannah Montana.......
I think that anime starring Tony Montana will be a lot better....... waaaay better!

You're perfectly free to do both.

Me, I'm amused with the idea. At least with the Hannah Montana anime, you pretty much know what you're getting into. Unlike the "Powerpuff Girls Z" anime, which promised one thing and failed to deliver.

Taku 128> Dunno yet if it's high-def or not. In fact, since I posted this info...was it last week?...I ain't heard a another peep yet. Maybe by jumping the gun, I jinxed the project.

Either that, or it was a trap and the Japanese staff are on to me.
