Yes, just a generic fade-to-black.

Don't remember seeing the eyecatchers.

Also...they covered YBCB with a commercial...for DBZKai.... /facepalm

And another thing...it may be my TV. But does anyone think there's a tad bit of cropping/zooming on the TV ai

Watching the second episode now. Even edited, this is probably the most I have ever enjoyed an episode of Kai. Still not going to spend money on it anywhere in the near future though.

EDIT - I officially can't watch the Goku and Piccolo on the beach scene in English without hearing WeeklyTubeShow's voices. "Let me see it ... Right now."

Yeah, I definitely prefer Vic's Dragon Soul. I LOVE the "Don't stop, don't stop!" part, it sounds downright badass here!

I also don't hear any autotuning in Vic's version. It really makes me wonder why they went with Schemmel. :|

Oh well, I like Vic's, but I still like Sean's a bit better because the flow is a bit better, and the vocal performance is smoother. Vic's I liked because of the energy he gave. That's all I got for now, and when I get home I'll catch the repeat at 11.

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

It's good, but it sounds too grating to me... Doesn't sound like Vic's usual work. Also, he severely misses the note on the "rise aGAAAAINN!" part, and his voice cracks severely. I don't know if it's intentional or not, but it hurts my ears...

So I guess they can mention death as long as they don't talk about killing. Goku at one point said he'd rather die then help Raditz, and the second episode has death in the title. Also, somebody mentioned seeing Ocean Studios in the credits, and I noticed it at the end of the second episode. Did anyone see what it said Ocean Studios did for the show?

My cousin liked Kai more than I thought he would. He thinks Raditz is cool and listening to his theories about what might happen next is amusing. He asking me now about tomorrow's episode. I'm tempted to lie to him, should I?

Vic's intro is way better than Sean's. Not only that, but I just saw the double premiere--it was pretty awesome! I'm really enjoying this dub so far and I definitely plan on following it. The improved voice acting combined with the quick pacing of Kai officially has me hooked back on the series, regardless of whatever censorship of the original material is still intact. I don't like it and I don't endorse it, but I feel like I'm a kid again following these episodes day by day! It's a really great feeling.

Oh, and I'm not really sure what to think about Gohan's new voice actor. I mean, I guess it's more appropriate than Nadolny's take on the role, but at the same time the old voice is kind of nostalgic and iconic for me. Guess I'll have to deal with it. Great fun, though!

Sabat sure wasn't lying when he said that the dub would be better than DBZ's. Sure I haven't seen the uncut dub, but I'll take what I can get. As far as Vic's Dragon Soul goes yeah it sucked which is strange because I like his version of DAN DAN Kokoro Hikarete Ku. Schemmel's was way better. Colleen's Gohan & Rial's Bulma were both great though I do miss Nadolny & Vollmer, but I think that Clinkenbeard & Rial will do fine with them. I was ticked that YBCB was not used, but glad the previews were kept unlike Adult Swim's airing of the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood dub. I'll bet that Mankankosappo will be Special Beam Cannon for the TV Edit. We'll find out tomorrow.

Heh, that's how I feel too. Even though it's different and whatnot, it still reminds me of watching the cut down Saban-infested episodes when I was a kid, despite it not being as severe here and cut very differently. I don't like the censorship at all(but like the cutting, as that's what Kai is about. :P), but the nostalgia probably redeems that for me.

Is there a full version of Vic's rendition of Dragon Soul? I really liked it!

Also, Watching Dragonball on television again was so awesome.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I like it but it "feels" like the reason he is singing it with that harsh tone is to make it more appealing to the kids watching, not that it matters that much.

I think just before the chorus they show Goku flying on the nimbus for way too long, especially with no titles or anything. But I like the few lyrics changes they have also.

So why the hell isn't Schemmel's version on TV? I thought his was great.

Anyway, I'm loving this new dub so far. I like the new voices, though they may take a while to get used to. But I did before with the transition from Ocean to Funimation, so I can do it again.

After only two episodes I'm already used to the new voices. I like this dub a lot better than the old Funi dub. I can't say it's better than the Ocean dub because I never really watched it.

Did anyone notice that the text for the episodes is different?

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.
