Dragon Boxes $26.99 on Amazon.com

Post by cracker » Wed May 26, 2010 3:44 am

Right now each Funi Dragon Box is $26.99 on Amazon.com. For anyone who hasn't picked them up this is the cheapest price I have ever seen any of the sets go for.

God, now I feel stupid for buying all 3 at RightStuf for $35 a piece.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

Yeah, same here! Either way, at this point in time, price isn't an issue when it comes to the Dragon Boxes; they are cheaper than many of the Season Sets on Amazon (and only ~$5 more than most)!

For the third volume at least, this means £18 for me over here. Paid tomorrow too, f***in' whoopee! Think I got the second one for like £16 thanks to the Amazon's golden box deal.

Amazon.com does ship outside USA. It's not limited to American shores.

They only gives a warning saying it's a region 1 DVD and it might not work on your DVD players if you're outside the USA.

Just be happy you didn't have to pay over a thousand dollars for one like Japan did.

Although you could be sad about the extreme lack of extras and packaging. [comparatively]

I know, but I'm not sure about if it charges in USD or GBP and such.

When I checked Amazon.co.uk instead of Amazon.com, it's still £40.

Hmm, maybe I'll order from .com and see what the postage cost will be like to get it here in the UK, or I may just stick with "United Publications".

Good thing I haven't bought vol 2 and 3 and Amazon is like the safest place to buy online

Ugh... I've barely started DragonBox Two. I totally should have waited... :P

I'm so tempted to pick up the third box, though, even though I won't get around to watching it for a while. I'm going to mull it over today.

I just can't wait until the fourth box comes out, so I can quit buying material I already have. Hahaha

Box 2 doesn't have the cool stuff, that's why I don't tempted to buy DBox 2 and now DBox 3 come out I'm going to buy it

So... am I right in assuming that this price cut is a red flag for overall sales (or lack thereof)? Should we be concerned that we might not even get the remaining Dragonboxes as a result?

For the love of God, someone please tell me I'm just being paranoid :P

I feel so glad I decided to wait until I finish watching DBox 1 to buy 2 and 3. TTuTT

Will get around to ordering these once I finish the first box.

I can't imagine Funi would stop without completing all the Z boxes.
On hiatus.

Right Stuf does ship ridiculously early when you pre-order, but that's a pretty big price drop on Amazon, especially considering there are at least four sets to go. Amazon also ships for free on orders over $25, whereas Right Stuf's free shipping requires a purchase over $49. Definitely going to be something worth pondering when the next Dragon Box is due.

I was so glad when this was brought to my attention, and I never said anything (except on Twitter). I ordered this, and today recieved a shipment notice.

I'll probably be getting it at the same time I get the first Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Blu-Ray.

I'm really psyched about this. The Dragon Boxes are so awesome. Now if I can only find more room for them!
