Best DBZ AMV you've seen

Post by DragonBoxZTheMovies » Wed May 19, 2010 12:38 am

We've all seen lots of AMVs. Most of them are normaly crap but there are a few out there that are actually good such as this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5fTT44Cy8I
(The one above is a must watch!)

So the question of the topic is this: "What's the best DBZ AMV you've seen?"

Not particularly a fan of AMVs, but I stumbled across this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUQpNp1ZyKE) and thought it was pretty hilarious, well-edited, and strangely fitting.

My problem with most of the AMVs on Youtube especially is that, even if they're well-edited, they use some kind of hardcore or melodic metal track that just doesn't fit the series at all.

Goddamn, I can't find the link anymore. But it's a Sayiajin-saga era vid to Hoobastank's "Without a Fight" and it's just... damn, it's fantastic. I believe our dear Webmaster had something to do with it though I can't be sure... it sounds like there's a clip from one of the podcasts over the little credits bit :)

Best I can do you is a link to the amv.org page for it http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=159405

It's nice too see some Dragon Ball Z AMVs that don't feature Linkin Park. :P

There was this one In The End AMV that was very well put together and actually got up to 10 million views on YouTube until it got taken down.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Always brings back memories, a remake of one I watched years ago on Majin Planet (which was also a remake I believe.) Not very flamboyant when it comes to editing, but pretty sweet.

There was an older version that included japanese dialogue in certain scenes, but I can't find it anywhere.

I actually remember a time when a new song (at the time) put together with various clips of the Goku and Majin Vegeta fight being aired on TV. It aired on a show called SMTV featuring celebrity presenters: Ant & Dec (they may not be as popular in the US). I don't know if it was an amv or an official music video but it was quite amazing, I must find a link to it!

I normally hate AMV's, but when I saw this back in the early naughties on Holiday I loved it.

Introduced me to the band and the special effects were well done.

Oh yeah, that was Fightstar's video for "Grand Unification Part 1", and it is the official video. Can't seem to find it anywhere, though...

For me, it's a toss-up between two. I can't decide between them, so I'll post them both:

Metallica-Call of Ktulu

I'm not too big of a fan of Metallica, but I think this AMV is well put together. The video quality isn't all great, but the AMV is from 2002, so it's understandable.

By the way, don't be fooled by the intro with Marilyn Manson; it's an AMV with Metallica. If you want to skip straight to the main part of the video, click here.

Iron Maiden-Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

Great AMV by a great band. It's quite long like the last one, so make sure you're ready for it!

Definitely. It's like they only put in the music for the melody instead of the lyrics. Granted, if it's an instrumental song, it might work depending on the song.

I was going through my old music video collection and came across this one.

I'm pretty sure the person who put up the video isn't the creator, but it's a pretty decent video, IMHO.

Unfortunately the original was taken down by Toei, but it seems someone else had it uploaded, so its still there on YouTube. Although I dislike the song, this is by far my favourite AMV ever.
