You can't tell me that after-image[esque] doesn't look awesome.
That looks absolutely horrible. I guess they are trying to mimic the awful graphics of Tenkaichi intros. Good job at that!

Tenkaichi 1's intro was very nice to look at, and the after image looks good too.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

That looks terrible, but that is subjective considering my statement was an opinion. Honestly I think Goku's after imagine is too solid. There should be less of him and more of Freeza. The fact that we only see parts of Freeza, while the rest of his body is blocked by Goku makes Goku's after image look like Spike took the model and used only the blur tool; for a better effect, the opacity needs to go down to about 35%. Here let me show you(please note, this was a rough edit):

Now I know it's a different picture(easy to edit) but this would be a better effect:
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/7460/a ... effect.jpg

Here is an example of it's transparency. Notice the tiny Goku within the large Goku, it is completely visible.
http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/5134/afterimage2.jpg

Freeza should be completely visible if he is directly behind the after image, just like the characters where when it happened in the show.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Besides, you guys seem quick to forget how bad RB1 was.
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

We're quick to forget because this is a sequel.

Sequels improve over their predecessors. It has happened many a time.

That's the reason why a sequel is made in the first place and yet we barely have anything new in this game, let alone having anything improved yet.

Well the graphics sure have changed. Calling them improved is more of an opinion based on some people on here not liking them too much. But I can say, the backgrounds and little effects do look pretty improved. The stages in the first one looked so boring.

Oh hell yeah. Spiderman 2. Yugioh GX. Linkin Parks Meteora. Broly the Second Coming. Digimon the second series. Need I go on?
The only thing that was ever better as a sequel was Pokemon Gold and Silver as opposed to Blue and Red.

Are you serious? Return of the Jedi, Mario 3, SNES, Die Hard 2, Chamber of Secrets, Back to the Future 2. I don't give a shit if you like this game or not but there are as many good sequels as there are bad.

Are you really under the impression that A New Hope>Return of the Jedi and Mario 1>Mario 3 ? I call bullshit on the fact that you hate every single sequel other then POKEMANZ. It sounds more like you're just lying to make your point. How are you even going to start calling the SNES "terrible" when it literally improved over the NES in every way? Unless you're literally a giant set of nostalgia goggles that sprouted arms and legs I have a hard time believing you're being serious. Are you telling me Budokai 1> Budokai 3? Are you telling me that the original brick Gameboy is SOOOOO much better then the Gameboy Advanced? This is ludicrous at best.

Why do you even like DBZ? It's a sequel to the original series.

Dragon Ball Z. Nuff said.

Okay yes, sequels can suck sometimes. But look no further than Blue's and Rocketman's examples to see that sequels can actually be much better than their predecessors. You honestly can't say that the Gamecube is better than the Wii. You just can't.

P.S I actually thought Duel Monsters GX was superior to Duel Monsters.

Why are people so quick to down this game on the very first bit of info we see on it?

And I have no clue how people are saying the graphics haven't improved.

Your question has been answered many times by many different people in this thread already. Also, sprinkling some cell shading onto the characters isn't an improvement it's just change(a small one at that).

As for the sequel thing being addressed in this thread, there are some amazing sequels out there and at the same time there are some god awful ones as well. The quality of a sequel can go both ways depending on the effort put into the project. In the case of Raging Blast 2, it looks like it's going down the negative route. RB1 had a lot of problems with it and so far none of them have been addressed by the developers. All we have seen is the same "OMG 90 CHARACTERS" and "SUPER COOL FIGHTING OMG!!!" advertisements that we have seen for the past 5 or so years now. Can I please see something new and exciting for once?

I think as far as sequels go, Video Game sequels tend to have better luck then movie sequels. I know a people who love and play Street Fighter 2 to this day, but rarely even acknowledge original SF game. So yeah, maybe a Raging Blast sequel can surpass the original.
