Taka's Dende is close to his child role in HBI2K's Escaflowne Abridged, but a bit deeper. I found it to be oddly fitting, actually.

To be perfectly honest...I can't seem to get used to Dende's voice. Everytime I hear it, it just takes me by surprise.

Does it have anything to do with Taka's nose surgery? I dunno...it seems a little deep/monotone. Was that planned?

For the most part, yeah. It's not THAT deep, but it's definitely not high and squeaky. And it does mean to be monotone.

I for one love Dende's taciturn personality and the voice Takahata101 chose for him. Seem's a perfect match for Gohan's "know it all", psycho kid shtick.

One favourite part no one mentioned yet was Vegeta's illuminating answer as to how he learned to sense energy so fast: "Idunno."
