Was thinking about purchasing a DBZ fighter. Best rated games on consoles I own are Budokai 3, Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3, Super Dragon Ball Z, and Burst Limit. Hmm...
It's been done countless times before, but...

If not for the $3 pricetag, I'd say just go to BT3 but I remember how fun it was playing the 1st when it came out.

Good luck with that healthbar, and I disliked how rush moved weren't able to do anything except go in a straight line.

Yeah, that one. There was a bit of Dragon Ball stuff, mostly figurines, the season box sets (actually, one table had the Dragon Box), posters and playing cards. I didn't see any art books though, which was a shame.
Just another Dragon Ball fangirl in the world.

DB & Tiger and Bunny are my main fandoms, along with many other animes.

That was my exact mindset when it was with the Orange Bricks and Double Features. It was either them (assuming they were the definitive set, which we all know wasn't) or invest in the manga... I invested with the first.

Now I can since I have all the FUNi DBoxes out at the moment... next will be this:

Are those boxes of the DB and Z manga edited or 'uncut'?

Edited. Which is why I suggest anyone buying Viz DB manga buy the VizBigs. Similar (possibly the same?) editing, but much better quality for less money.

I would love to get the VizBIGs because of the better quality, but if I can get all of the manga in any format at one shot, I'll do it. I was reading into the older releases, and even though they are edited, to an extent they leave stuff in like the finger, some nudity and guns from what I researched. Until we get a real "uncensored" release, these will suffice me nicely.

I'm a sucker for spine art and getting things in one clip so if I got them, I'd probably land on the boxes; although I'm more of a DVD/bluray collector.

I thought the new tankoubon volumes censored that though? I was under the impression that only older volumes (like the bigger format Viz tankoubons) had lighter editing. I don't recall seeing any major difference in the single volumes I had a couple years ago compared to the VizBigs.

Further reading states that some volumes are more censored than others. Back in '01, Viz announced that they were releasing the manga uncensored (which is to an extent I believe), and one can be more censored than the other like I stated. For example: Say Vol. 5 had a lot of things censored, another version of Vol. 5 may have little to no things censored.

That's what I read from people who own the versions I'm purchasing. I looked at Amazon's comments and others doing a Google search regarding such info.

Who knows... :? Either way though I have the manga (well half of it) and I'm all happy and giddy inside.

You could have just bought DB Vizbigs 1 to 5 in one order from amazon and you would get the same manga in one format and in one shot.

You would have to wait till October to do the same with the DBZ Vizbigs since the last one only comes out in October but it wouldn`t be a long wait.

And it would be cheaper and have the advantages of the Vizbig edition.

But as long as you are happy nothing else matters.

Dragon Ball VIZBIG(1-5)
Kanzenban was a bit..too pricey especially when it's $100 for 3 volumes<.< I got this for $99^^

Good thing is I actually have Manga quality English Prints of the Kanzenbans(These are scans of my friends Kanzenbans)

I could have just purchased Dragon Ball Z in one shot but I feel to much is being left out of these releases for a reason, Kanzenban?
