That's good. He is by no means bad!!

I really doubt it, but here's to hoping they give him one consistent voice instead of 3 different ones.

Hey, I can dream, can't I?

So wait, that wasn't Clarke in Raging Blast? I actually thought it was, the voices are so damn similar.

Yeah, that wasn't clarke. Y'gotta really listen to tell the difference. It was during my second playthrough of story mode that I realized it.

Question with the tv broadcasts. I've noticed a lot of scenes on tv that looked more hand-drawn rather than drawn digitally? Did the tv people mess up, or is there a mixture of digital and hand-drawn in Kai?

Are you talking about in terms of using old animation and new animation? Of course that's what Kai does. If you are asking if some of the redrawings are done digitally and some are done by hand, then no, they are all done by hand.

Unlike most modern American cartoon "animators" who render simple shapes with Flash, most animators in Japan (from what modern anime I've seen) still draw the frames by hand with a tablet on a computer.

Has there been any news or posts discussing Nicktoon's ratings since Kai? I want to know the general reception of the show. Am I going to start seeing kids in Dragonball T-shirts again? What about older fans, how do they feel?
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I keep forgetting to mention this, but it's nice that FUNi is finally using the original city names, like Metro East, in the dub.

Is the TV Dub going to keep going past episode 13?

Well, Episode 10 was today, no? 11 is Tomorrow, and 12 and 13 will be Monday and Tuesday. Just gotta wait for tomorrow for my guide to show next Wednesday. But, seems likely. Nobody airs episodes that fast if they intended only 13.

And it was nice to see this episode again. Chaotzu's sacrifice, Tien's attempt at vengeance. I can't help but laugh when thinking about the scene when having seen this:

So, in any case, tomorrow we will know if there are new episodes or not for sure.

Almost forgot to post my cousin's crazy theories about the show. Basically he dropped the whole Gohan will be evil thing, he doesn't believe Gohan "is tough enough" to be bad guy. But He does believe that Gohan will save the day and beat Nappa and Vegeta alone because "he's Goku son, right? So he can't die, he's really strong."

He's more accurate than I expected he also mentioned that Yamcha went down like a "punk." I have to record this kid someday!

Considering that both Travis and Dameon both live in Southern California now, I'd figure Dameon gave Travis the OK to try out for (and get) Cell's role. Or maybe at least he coached him somehow to play the voice. :)

Krillin just used the "kienzan" on nicktoons. I'm surprised (and impressed) that they left that in.

I was pleasantly surprised by the use of "Kienzan" in the TV broadcast, too.

But I was also annoyed by the "I hate the media!" line and "Slow-ku".

...didn't Nappa say "I hate the media" in TFS Abridged?

He said, "Look, Vegeta, the media! I HAVE TO PROTECT MY IMAGE!" and then destroyed some helicopters.

I honestly think that "I hate the media" was sort of a nod to the TFS line never mind the fact that Phil Parsons' Nappa sounds similar to Takahata101's Nappa.

Okaaaay, so they left that in, but they felt compelled to change Makankosappo? Why does none of this make any sense? Oh, and did they say "Kienzan" or "Kienzen" again?

"Makankosappo" sounds very demonic.

I mean...just look at the actual word. It just screams "BURN IN HELL!" to me.
