It's been like that on every photo I've seen of it on the internet.

I just saw another review of the figure, it looks like it's not as bad as it is in photographs...

The main reason I want these figures is to make awesome Stop motion videos. :D Which I haven't done in years.

Has anyone here actually made one of the MG Figurerise toys? Every now and again I open the box to mine, stare longingly at the pile of pieces, then defeatedly put the lid back on the box.

I think it was Bussani who made an MG Goku figure. He made a thread about it.

Two generally great places to buy import DragonBall toys are Hobby Link Japan and angolz.com. Ebay can also be a great resource but you must be EXTREMELY cautious and wary of bootlegs. About 90% of import Dragonball items on ebay are bootlegs. You should be especially careful if you are buying from Hong Kong or China in general. Often you will see auctions with extremely low prices and relatively good looking bootlegs as well. They have gotten extremely good at making bootlegs so that it is hard to tell them from the real products.

For example:

This is an image of the authentic High Spec Coloring Figures Series 5 by Banpresto.

Now this is an image of the bootleg version of those figures. I found this within 30 seconds of searching on ebay and sure enough the seller is located in China and had an opening bid of $0.99.

I've noticed Hobby Link Japan has put up a whole bunch of new figures coming soon. Thing is, they never have pictures.... does anyone know where a good place to find pictures are?

I'd like to see what these figures of Bardock's gang look like.... and this Santa Kame-sennin.

Toywiz is a legit site and they don't sell bootlegs if that's what you mean. The only major problem I have with the site is their prices.

I've never had any reason to distrust the authenticity of the products on Toywiz. I believe they either have a direct account with the Japanese distributors or they simply purchase the items from available import stores and then mark up the prices.

I will be updating the homepage on dragonballtoys.com all this week with new Banpresto releases so be sure to check over there for images and info on the most recent releases. In the mean time here are some images of the figures you are referring to: (images credit - ebay seller kakalolo12)

This series is meant to be a companion series to the Freeza Force releases by Banpresto. I couldn't find an image of the Kamesennin Santa but I'll keep looking.

I think that's the first time there's ever been a Toma figure. I might be interested in picking those up.

Damn, that Toma looks really bad. BTW I don't like this series of figures' faces, they look somewhat retarded to me.
Can't shake that feeling off.
