What? Everyone did say what their favorite DBZ movie was... They only added what other movies they have been enjoyed watching.Goku100xKamehameha wrote:Everyone, only choose one movie that you think the best. not movies

Re: What's The Best DBZ Movie Of All Time?
It just occured to me that I've never seriously watched movies seven, nine, eleven, twelve, or thirteen. I should, erm...get to that. If I recall correctly, I watched a VHS Filipino (or was it Malaysian?) dub of Super Android 13, but that was almost a decade ago.
And of the movies I have watched, I haven't seen any of the non-"First Strike" movies more than once or twice each. Of the first three movies...I pick Dead Zone. Dead Zone is my favorite.

It's been done countless times before, but...

Re: What's The Best DBZ Movie Of All Time?
I'd have to say Movie 9, followed closely by Movies 3 and 1.
Re: What's The Best DBZ Movie Of All Time?
I agree with most everyone else that Dragonball Z Movie 1 is the best of the whole lot. It is one of the few that I rewatch every now and then.
Out of the others, I only really liked a few of them. Those would be 5,9, and 13. I have also a passing enjoyment occasionally rewatching 2 and 12. 6 and 7 are ok, but the rest of them I almost dislike so much that I've only ever watched them twice since buying the DVDs. 8,10 and 11 all feature Broly, and I hate the character, hate the fan arguments surrounding him, and hate the movies he's in. Movies 3 and 4 rank right along the Broly ones, I don't like either of them at all.
I DID like the new Jump Movie that came out awhile back, I do hope they release that here someday, I'd like to have it in my collection.
Of the three Dragonball Movies, I really loved DB Movie 2 (Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle for those who need a reminder which one I mean) It was an original story about Goku and Krillin teaming up to fight Goblins, Demons and Vampires. It also had Oozaru Goku and was paced very well. I unfortunately cannot say the same for DB Movie 1 (Curse of the Blood Rubies) or DB Movie 3 (Mystical Adventure), which I found to be annoyingly bogus re-treads and re-tellings of stories shown in the main series.
As far as the specials go, I liked the Bardock Special best, followed by the Trunks Special. the 10th Anniversary Special (AKA Path to Power) which came out after DBZ Movie 13 was nothing but a condensed character origins/ Red Ribbon saga retelling with GT era animation and I never much cared for it. The GT Special is equally lame, but a suitable finale story to an already lame series.
Sooo..Yeah, Dead Zone is the best, better than the rest, by a long shot..

"Of" =/= "Have"
Contractions:
-Should have = Should've
-Could have = Could've
-Would have = Would've
The heck does "should of" even mean anyway? Think about what those two words mean individually, and then try to read them back to back in a sentence and make sense of it. Are you forming a prepositional phrase, is "should" a part of a larger grouping, or are you just typing random words based on how you think you hear them used verbally? Perhaps take a moment to contemplate this, and see if it becomes as mind jarring for you to look at as it does for me..

Re: What's The Best DBZ Movie Of All Time?
Seems like people are so angry about Brolli being in movie 8 that they forget it's one of the few to even attempt to have a real plot or be an actual movie.Akira wrote:8,10 and 11 all feature Broly, and I hate the character, hate the fan arguments surrounding him, and hate the movies he's in. As for 11, even ignoring its amazing selection of characters, can you legitimately say it actually uses Brolli as the villain? He doesn't even shout that time. You could call it Trunks, Goten, and #18 vs. The Slime Monster, and hell, I would watch it over most of the other movies any day.

Agreed. For the life of me, I've never really understood where all this hate for Movie 11 comes from.Cipher wrote: As for 11, even ignoring its amazing selection of characters, can you legitimately say it actually uses Brolli as the villain? Movie 6 was just really enjoyable, while Movie 8 and 13 actually had a plot. Movie 1 had awesome fighting, as well as Movie 2, and Movie 5 is pretty fun, too. And Movie 7.

My favourite DBZ movie was DBZ Movie 1: Dead Zone. As others have said, it has great old-school-style fight choreography, a good storyline and has the rare instance of Kami-sama actually fighting for once (other than in the 23rd Budokai as Shen).

My favorite movies would be.
Movie 5, Movie 8, Movie 9, and Movie 12.
If I had to choose, probably Movie 8.

Hey, I like Coola. But that doesn't mean the movies he's in are good.MCDaveG wrote:Looks like I'm only one, who love Movie 5

Just like I don't like Brolli, but that doesn't mean the movies he's in are bad (compared to the other ones).

Best movie? That's tough because they are each all great and mediocre at the same time in their own way.
