His shirt died, along with half the right part of his pants.

The crotch of his pants, meanwhile, is made of adamantium.

Well, it was already half-dead... but then became... all-dead.

I dunno, when in real life pants take damage, is the crotch all that common a zone of visible damage?
My experience is that it's mostly the knees and the butt that get messed up, with below the knees varying with the cause of the damage.

Of course, this begs the question: why is it that all the pants-destroying things we see hitting Goku in the rear leave his butt-shield intact?

His clothes were never alive to begin with.

Forget about Goku's clothes, I want to know what 18's are made of. If Goku had taken the hits she had, he'd have lost his shirt, yet hers remains sadly in tact. Though I think Goku should look into making his shirts out of the same material as his pants, they always seem to fare better in a fight.

<Kaboom> Neither does Rita

They always had a problem with showing naked girls in the series but there was no problem with Goku and Gohan being naked all over the place. Why is that?

Naked kids with pretty much baby bodies is not sexual to any normal human being. It is clearly not the same thing.

Even Yamcha says that he is not a pervert when Puar asked him why he didn`t freeze around ChiChi the first time that he saw her (like he does around girls).

So, yeah, even in Japan (although there are lots of perverted things over there).

What's wrong with fanservice? :P

No, not Japan. Toriyama. Believe me, Japan doesn't have the slightest problem with it.

Uh... Toriyama is japanese... There are lots of japanese out there just like him who find that kind of things perverted and not the norm, as they should. Most of them, I believe.

Japan just happens to have a higher number of perverts and a higher tolerance for that than other countries, which we get to see fairly often.
