What? "Teleportation" is a direct translation of the original name.
A quote from yourself:

"You have 瞬間 (Shunkan) meaning "instant", "moment" or "second" and 移動 (Idō) meaning "removal", "migration" or "movement". It also should be noted than Shunkan Idō is just a general term for "teleportation". The English definition for "transmit" is "to send or convey from one person or place to another"."

It may be a general term for teleportation, and it may be literal teleportation, but in direct translations, Instant Transmission is closer to literal than Teleportation, even if it works.

Mouth flaps, bro. Plus that's just boring.
But "Teleportation" and "Instant Transmission" have the same number of syllables
Not always in a sentence though. I remember a lot of phrases like "I could use the Instant Transmission", which is a tad longer than "I could teleport." :P

You seem to be misunderstanding me. Shunkan Idō is the Japanese word for teleportation. You can't get anymore direct than that.

"Instant transmitting"

"Instant teleport"

"super go go go"

Just take that transmission out of there somehow, I hate how it sounds!

I don't think you can transmit people.

You can't teleport in real life ether, I was just looking for anything that sounded better.

Instant Translocation is much better and actually makes sense.

Guess which dub used that.

Either use instantaneous movement or shunkanido..

I never really liked either dub names.

Correct. If they didn't want to use the Japanese term and didn't want to call it teleport (how many times have characters used some form of disappearing-appearing "teleportation" in the series) then Instant Translocation is a good compromise.

Ocean dub.

For DBZ's run, I can understand them not wanting to call it Shunkan Ido as it may have made viewers go "wait...what?" but now that the show is a lot more familiar, there is scope to use Shunkan Ido.

Geez. I wish I lived in your world where apparently everything is so awesome that teleportation has become boring!

Wait. No I don't.
Of course the act of teleporting isn't boring. But the word teleport is pretty dull when compared to SHUNKAN IDO!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure they'll use a more proper English translation than instant transmission, I mean instantaneous movement is all over the subs.

Today was the last episode of the Saiyan arc. Tomorrow is episode 17, so we should be hearing an English version of Over the Star. Woo! :D

Indeed man, I'm so stoked!!

This clip kills me, it starts just as the English version of Over The Star ends, what a tease!

Also, I'm really liking the slang they're giving to Yajirobe, "ecuse me for livin!" yet still no dumbed down words for Goku.

That reminds me. Tonight shows us the first song dubbed outside of the opening/closing. While I don't know who sings the song, I do that Brina Palencia wrote the lyrics. I look forward to it myself since Over The Star is actually a nicely composed song :D
