Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
Well, given the fact that we've had season 2-packs at Walmart for DBZ... But I would be soo stoked if it was Dragon Box GT! <3

I want Dragonbox GT so bad!
It better not be a re-packaging.

Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Dude, if that is not the GT Dragon Box, I will eat the hat that I am wearing.

Then again, does the MSRP seem a little low to anyone for a complete Dragon Box?

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
The fact that it doesn't say "Dragon Box" anywhere in the listing is enough of a reason to doubt it's the Dragon Box. You'd think that would be there unless they were trying to be hush hush about it. But if that's the case why put up the listing at all?
But at the same time, why bother mushing the green bricks together? Is there really that much of a demand for GT?

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
Well, the MSRP for the Z Boxes is $59.98, so this does at least cost more than that.Cipher wrote:Then again, does the MSRP seem a little low to anyone for a complete Dragon Box?

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
I really want it to be the Dragon Box, but it would be more surprising if it actually was though. Chances are it's a Season Set repackaging, which wouldn't make sense, as the price is the same as the two seasons combined. What would charging the same amount for the complete series in one shot do, when you can already buy them separately for the same price?
It would seem though, that if this is not the GT Dragon Box, then the chances of one coming out any time soon are even more slim.

DO WANT!!
Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
Yeah, but the Season set repackagings were Wal-Mart only. They weren't sold on RightStuf.Metalwario64 wrote:I really want it to be the Dragon Box, but it would be more surprising if it actually was though. Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
I can't see them being released in a 2-pack, it would cost the exact same as buying them separately. And it makes no sense for them to release GT any other way than the Dragon Box, we already have the perfect dub version, now all we need is the perfect Japanese version.
Another thing I was wondering, what if they are going to release all of their single DVD's in a complete package, along with the "Lost Episodes". It sounds crazy, but they do include the original Japanese versions.

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
I'm going to wait for some confirmation before I pre-order this. I don't feel like jumping the gun. For now, I think we should focus on DBox 4 just to be sure that this is a Dragon Box release. I think even if this isn't a Dragon Box release, I still think we shouldn't lose hope in one possibly coming out.

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
I don't think it's either. I think it's FUNi doing their own version of "GT Kai" in that it's a "perfect" dub of GT. Note the wacky details: 2x greater than the cost of the two season sets combined instead of 3/4 to 4/5 of the price, while also only $10 more than an actual Dragon Box and not actually called a GT Dragon Box.VegettoEX wrote:I'd be shocked if it's anything other than a re-packaging of the two green bricks mushed together... not to dash all of the rampant Dragon Box hopes, dreams, and aspirations... ^^;;. I suppose we'll find out soon enough, though...!
Either way, I hope the Green Brick sets finally come down in price in Canada when this comes out.

Like TonyTheTiger said, if it is the GT Dragon Box, wouldn't the listing say that it's a Dragon Box?
I'm guessing that this is the two green bricks together, but I would love to be proven wrong.

Seeing the price of that thing, I think it's really is a GT Dragon Box!

If I recall correctly, wasn't the Dragon Box Z Vol. 1 not listed as "Dragon Box" at first? I thought that for a while, it was different, more generic...Shiyonasan wrote:Like TonyTheTiger said, if it is the GT Dragon Box, wouldn't the listing say that it's a Dragon Box?

Anyways, I'm SUPER-hoping that it's the Dragon Box GT. Hopefully we hear from FUNi on the matter soon.

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
The 2 Green bricks cost about $60 combined, but actually combining them would make it actually cheaper. I looked at the combined season sets and they're cheaper than $60.TonyTheTiger wrote:The fact that it doesn't say "Dragon Box" anywhere in the listing is enough of a reason to doubt it's the Dragon Box. I believe we have a hush hush situation on our hands and it's defiantly a Dragon Box. I'll wager $100 saying it's not!
Why would they just all of a sudden release GT? They did the Remastered Sets, original Boxs, and singles. I'm very confident that it's a DBOX release and $70 seems fair because FUNi is putting 40-43 episodes with 1 box so 64 episodes + 20 extra dollars seems right in the ball park for this to be a Dragon Box release. I guess we'll find out when the artwork is posted.
Bring on the dragonbox, or B.I.H.! Funimation for releasing a more expensive and crappy version of GT!
I'll purchase this before Box 4 because Box 4 has some of my least favorite episodes anyway, Box 5 is where the action is!

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
I'm praying its the GT Dragon Box however I highly doubt it. Either way I only bought the first green brick so I'll probably sell it to help buy this complete collection (seriously if funimation is doing this re-release than it most likely means that they have no intentions on bringing the GT Dragon Box to us).

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
Well it can't just be the 2 season sets because the running time doesn't match up. And that even includes the movie!
What specials did the GT box have? It's only like 100 minutes missing.

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
1600 divided by 64 equals about 25 minutes an episode. That sounds about right. And running times are usually approximate anyway.

Re: Dragon Ball GT Complete Series set?
Season 1 had a run time of 780.
Season 2 had a run time of 740.
Equals 1520, I got the times directly from the season sets.
Even walmarts duration is correct for the combined seasons.
