This is the first full dub episode I've seen of Kai. It was really good.

I like it, a straightforward well done dub. Although, Karin's voice is a bit distracting. I keep swearing it's Vegeta every time I replay the clip. I'm not actually watching the clip, just listening.

Heh. Looks like Goku always had the hots for Vegeta, and not the other way around. :)

But serioiusly, folks, I think the performances from Chi-Chi and Bulma were very spot on. And the whole thing with Chi-Chi finally seeing Gohan was quite neat. Chi-Chi was just hysterical crying, and that nailed it for me. And Bulma sounds a lot more natural now. (And I'm falling in love with Monica Rial all over again, now that she's doing more young girl voices than before.)

I actually brought this up in another thread! I knew I wasn't hearing things, Sabat, man of a thousand voices strikes again!

At least he isn't overacting with his Karin as he used to.

That's true. So no problems, just slightly a "Oh, he's [character a], I thought it was [character b]". There was a point where I heard a bit of Yamcha or Vegeta in the others line in about Episode 8, which Yamcha dies. But, this isn't about which roles can you pick Sabat's voice out of.

Karin does sound a little less like Harvey Fierstein now.

Wow, I'm really impressed! Muten Roshi and Karin both sound SO much better. On a side note this is one of those scenes where slower pacing was actually beneficial, Kai didn't really let anything sink in here.

That scene really reminded me why I love Kai's dub. Can't wait for the DVD release.

Here's the preview for episode 19, which I found by simply altering the url:
http://nicktoons.nick.com/videos/clip/d ... ep-19.html

There's no preview of Freeza's voice, sadly, but I figured I'd at least share.

It's getting so close, seeing the animation of him chuckling made me all the more excited! It was somewhat souring to have to see the retarded FUNI spelling of FRY-ZA for the next episode title though. :x

I wasn't; but, that should be good enough until an episode where he's got more dialouge. Still looking forward to Freeza's one line regardless.

It can be considered a preview for whats to come at least. Even then, it's only 4 days until we get full on dialogue.

Actually, expect Nicktoons to have clips from episode 20 on their site after episode 19 airs tomorrow night. They've been doing that, and there's a good chance one of those clips will have a scene with Freeza.

Episode 19 clips are on Nicktoons. And Frieza is in none of them.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!
