I rather it be a fighting game than it being a card-based RPG.

Re: DragonBall Coming To The Nintendo 3DS
I don't know if I'd put too much weight into this. When a console is announced, tonnes of developers announce projects for the console that never actually ends up on store shelves (Sadness for Wii, Resident Evil Portable for PSP, etc.). While it's pretty obvious that unless the 3DS completely falls on its face, there would be a DragonBall game on it, I wouldn't say Namco Bandai has anything done on it, especially since they have no working title.
I wouldn't be surprised if they port Tenkaichi Daiboken as DragonBall 3DS that acts as a sequel to Origins 2.

"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I'm hoping for Supersonic warriors 3 or a sequel to Attack of the Saiyans. I'm not sure how 3D technology would be implemented on those games though.....

I'm thinking they're going to port Tenkaichi Tag Vs. That game + 3D = mind blown.

Here's my quick-paint-mock-logo for the game.

I'd be for this so long as it doesn't move like molasses...I'm looking at you Harukanaru Densetsu.Makaioshin wrote:I rather it be a fighting game than it being a card-based RPG.

Re: DragonBall Coming To The Nintendo 3DS
The more that I think about it, as much as I want that Attack of the Saiyans sequel, I...already know it's going to be a fighting game. Dragon Ball's going to make its 3DS debut, and I just know they're going to want to make it a fighting game to do so. Debuting Dragon Ball on a new system with a fighting game just seems to be the trend nowadays, if you haven't noticed.
PS3/360 debut? Burst Limit.
Wii debut? Sparking! NEO/Budokai Tenkaichi 2.
DS debut? Supersonic Warriors 2.
PSP debut? Shin Budokai.
PS2 debut? Budokai.
Hell the only odd one out I could find (out of the more recent systems anyway) was the GBA, with its first Dragon Ball game being Legacy of Goku.
So frankly, I hope it's not a fighting game, but it probably will be.

Is it confirmed to just be Dragon Ball though? Raging Blast had no Z in its titles but the majority of the game is Z.
I'm hoping for SuperSonic Warriors 3, Attack of the Saiyans 2 or a remake of Legendary Super Warriors.

No, the press release simply says "Dragon Ball franchise (name not final)". It could be Z, Kai, or even GT. Or it could be that they don't have anything plan yet as Super Saiyan Prime said.Vegeta Jr wrote:Is it confirmed to just be Dragon Ball though? Wow really? I have a feeling that this is going to be a fighting game like Super Sonic Warriors.

Origins 3-DS?
That's what I'm putting my money on. They would be on the third installment and the title would be a good pun for the system.

Re: DragonBall Coming To The Nintendo 3DS
Do they have to make a new DS every year?
Does that mean I have to actually buy the new DS in order to play the new Dragon Ball game? It won't work on the normal DS?
Argh.

Re: DragonBall Coming To The Nintendo 3DS
Think of the 3DS as the DS2. The other installments where basically minor upgrades for the DS while this is a brand new system. I think they should wait awhile because well they just launched the XL but the 3DS is a great successor to the DS. Also, yes you will need a 3DS to play this new game.Jaetinh wrote:Do they have to make a new DS every year?

When I bought my DS I was 14 and now I'm 17. At the release time I'd be 18 so..
Buying a DS at the age of 18 is a bit..... lol. My mother would go 'U'RE 18, WHY DID U WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A GAMEBOY'

Re: DragonBall Coming To The Nintendo 3DS
I don't know if anyone has brought it up yet, but the 3DS cartridges have 10x the capacity of the DS cartridges, at launch; that would put the max game size around the same size as some PS2 games. That should make for some awesomeness.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:Think of the 3DS as the DS2. The other installments where basically minor upgrades for the DS while this is a brand new system. Re: DragonBall Coming To The Nintendo 3DS
I'd hate to have to get yet another different system to play these new games. Seriously, these damn console changes every couple of years sickens me to no end.
I just want a sequel to Attack of the Saiyans for the DS. If they can let me playing a sequel to that on my regular DS, I will consider getting the 3DS at some point.
