Wow, that Janenba teleportation thing is pretty badass. Now everyone can shut up about all the characters being copies of each other.

The graphics look very nice looking, and the gameplay does look a bit better. I'm going to rent it, or get it for X-Mass maybe. I think the game does look better then I thought it was going to be.

Well. It is looking cooler than what I had originally expected.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Question: did the original RB have the Japanese music like the Sparking series, or an original soundtrack? It sounds like we get an original one for this one, at least.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I like how you can see Goku's hands slowly form out of the Kamehameha position after the attack. Hopefully we'll be seeing more attention to detail like that.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
I never nioticed Kenji Yamamoto in the credits. From what I've seen, the music in RB was composed by someone named Toshiyuki Kishi. Speaking of which, has Yamamoto ever composed music for ANY of the previous Spike games?Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:RB had original music by Kenji Yamamoto.bkev wrote:Question: did the original RB have the Japanese music like the Sparking series, or an original soundtrack? Really? Because his profile on VGMdb and the review for the game on daizex.com, both say that he was the one who composed the score for the game.Captain-Sora wrote:I never nioticed Kenji Yamamoto in the credits. But at the end of the game's manual it states the music was by Toshiyuki Kishi. There doesn't seem to be any listing of Yamamoto at all.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote: Really? You're right. On the second last page of the manual , under "Soundtrack CD", it says "Music by Toshiyuki Kishi". I guess the daizex.com review was wrong.Captain-Sora wrote:But at the end of the game's manual it states the music was by Toshiyuki Kishi. On a semi-related note, I quite liked the music in RB1.

The only song I like about RB is Hinorobu Kageyama's Proggersion
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Toshiyuki Kishi composed every Sparking! title (the American/European music anyway), including Raging Blast.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:RB had original music by Kenji Yamamoto.
Kenji Yamamoto's style is very distinct, and it is nowhere to be heard in any of the generic tunes in these games (which is why Kishi tried to mimic his style as the series went on, using more instruments, almost bringing a Jazz-esque sound to some of the tracks).

Yes, we've already established that Toshiyuki Kishi was the one who composed the music for the Budokai Tenkaichi games and Raging Blast, not Kenji Yamamoto (who composed the music for Kai). I personally love Kishi's score, especially in BT2. I've even got some BT2 tracks posted up on my YouTube account.
Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Gameplay looks sexy.
The thing that bothered me in Raging Blast 1 was that you get most of the characters already at the beginning of the game.
Super Saiyan 1,2,3 Goku etc.
I hope they changed it, it's much better if you have to unlock Super Saiyan mode.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Seriously? What's the point? If we already know it's in the game, the secrecy behind hidden characters is removed and it becomes a tedious process to unlock thing just to play. When I get a game, I want the content to be available to me from the beginning. I hate the story mode in these games.Jaetinh wrote:I hope they changed it, it's much better if you have to unlock Super Saiyan mode.
Look at Super Street Fighter IV for example. All the characters are available from the start. They knew their fans didn't want to unlock the same characters AGAIN.

Damn, fucking, straight.Innagadadavida wrote:Look at Super Street Fighter IV for example. All the characters are available from the start. They knew their fans didn't want to unlock the same characters AGAIN.
Unlockable characters were cool when the internet didn't exists, an secret characters were genuinely.. well, secrets. Now they're glorified on trailers, yet we still can't play them when purchasing the game? What if that character is the reason we bought the game? We'd have to not enjoy ourselves, forcing through hours of tedious game-play, just to do the one fucking thing we wanted.
As Innagadadavida said, take a note from SSFIV's book.

EDIT: Ok, the way Goku charges his Kamehameha is pretty badass. Nice work there Spike.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I don't mean to doubt your visual capabilities, but for a current-gen game, those graphics are pretty fucking horrendous man.jjgp1112 wrote:Um...what's the confusion?Rory wrote:...jjgp1112 wrote:Wow, those graphics are pretty fucking amazing.?

I think sometimes I'm the only guy on Daizex with actual gaming standards.
