@Mike
Have you bought the SP collaboration #2 (Trunks)?

is it different to HSCF #3?

I'm having a hard time finding SP Col. #2 here in SG

How big are those Freeza Force figures? Because in all honesty, I am tired of shelling out 10-15 bucks on a figure to find out it is 2 inches tall. Grr.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
They're about 3 inches tall. Considering that you will probably be paying less than $7 for them (Play-Asia's had a sale on some of the first line's figures for ~$5), that's not too shabby.omegacwa wrote:How big are those Freeza Force figures? Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
No I haven't gotten them yet. It looks like that's going to be a difficult series to track down. I don't know for sure if the Trunks is any different than the HSCF series 1 version but I would assume that it would have some minor paint scheme changes. (Probably nothing of major significance though.)Tracer1 wrote:@Mike

Thanks for answering my post, mike
The reason I asked it is because... HSCF SP Col#1 and HSCF#13 don't have any difference at all... even the paint job\scheme, it's the same

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
If that's the case then the two Trunks figures are most likely nearly identical. Banpresto has been doing that a lot lately it seems.

Really diggin' that Trunks.
Re: Re:
I've been imagining a whole set of them, like they did with the Z warriors, just have one of them special sets they do. You could have one being King Vegeta, Prince Vegeta, Young(er) Nappa, Tarble, Paragus, Broly and Onio and another set with Bardock, Tooma, Totapo, Selypa, Punbukin, Kakarotto (Goku in armor) and Tullece. I just hate having incomplete collections, I'm still biting myself over not getting Neiz and Doore which were released has a super rare, super expensive collection GOD KNOWS WHY. And I'm also still waiting for at least #13, #14 and #15. I also would very much thank a Super #17 and Baby Vegeta to complete my Vegeta collection.Tracer1 wrote:Same here... Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
These have already been posted over on the dragonballtoys.com homepage for a few days but I thought I'd post em here too.
Banpresto Creatures Series 08 (Kai Series 03)

Series 08 features an all new Zarbon figure and a reissue of the previous Dodoria figure. These figures are set for a June release and retail for around 1450 yen (~$15.79). The Dodoria figure will likely have some sort of minor paint scheme changes from the original release such as a darker color palette or metallic paint. From the looks of the Zarbon figure thus far, it seems a very strange choice for the Creatures series. He has a skinny and lanky appearance but there are no discernible "creepy" or "monstrous" elements as all the other figure have had.
Banpresto Creatures Series 09 (Kai Series 04)

Series 09 features two all new figures, Cell in his second form and an Android 18 figure. These figures are set for a September release and retail for around 1450 yen (~$15.79). The Cell figure looks to be a strong addition to the line with an exaggerated and monstrous appearance, complete with a snarling tongue. The Android 18 figure is somewhat of an oddity in that it is more of an add-on for Cell than a figure itself, despite being sold separately. You can switch the tails on Cell so that it looks like he is absorbing 18. At this time, it is unclear if the 18 is removable from the tail.
Banpresto Creatures Series 10 (Kai Series 05)

Series 10 features one all new figure, Dr. Gero and a reissue of the Cell from the previous series. These figures are set for a December release and retail for around 1450 yen (~$15.79). Once again it is likely that the Cell will differ from the Series 09 one by some minute paint differences. The Dr. Gero figure features a removable hat which showcases his brain. Aside from that there doesn't seem to be too much of creepy reimagining for this figure. I personally find that somewhat disappoing as there are still tons of other monsters and creatures from the DragonBall series who would be prime candidates for this series.
Banpresto DragonBall Kai DX HQ Vol. 6

This series consists of two all new releases, Freeza in his second and fourth forms. These figures are set for an August release and retail for around 1450 yen (~$15.79). I personally can't wait for the second form Freeza in this series. The sculpt is simply phenomenal.
Banpresto DragonBall Kai DX HQ Vol. 7

This series consists of one all new release, Freeza in his third form and a reissue of Freeza in his fourth form from the previous series. These figures are set for a November release and retail for around 1450 yen (~$15.79). With this series every one of Freeza's forms except for Cyborg Freeza is now finished in the HQ DX series.
Banpresto DragonBall Kai DX Movie Series

This series consists of one all new release, Broly and two reissues. These figures are set for a July release and retail for around 1450 yen (~$15.79). This seems to be a special release focusing on the movies and thus is not a numbered series. The Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks is a reissue (possibly with some minor paint scheme changes) of the Gotenks in DBZ HQ DX series 6. The Bardock is a reissue (possibly with some minor paint scheme changes) of the Bardock from DBZ HQ DX series 7. This Bardock does feature an all new head sculpt however. This one features an open, screaming mouth while the original had a clenched teeth appearance. A minute change but a difference nonetheless.
Banpresto DX Soft Vinyl Figure Freeza
Series 1

Series 2

Sharing a near simultaneous release with Banpresto's DX HQ Freeza figures are these soft vinyl releases. Series 1 featured Freeza's first and second forms and series 2 goes on to finish Freeza's third and final form. Series 1 is out now while series 2 is set for a July release. These figures retail for around 1450 yen (~15.79). The sofubi (Soft Vinyl) figures tend to be less detailed and more "cartoonish" when compared to Banpresto's DX HQ series but are still accurate and great looking sculpts nonetheless. Both this series and Banpresto's DX HQ series are non-articulated so essentially both sets of figures are statues and not action figures.

As cool as the Zarbon and others have looked; why do the 1st two forms or Frieza look a bit plain?

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
I reckon they should do a Dragon Ball creatures release of the Man-Wolf (name forgotten) and Giran.
I've got a bunch of these figures pre-ordered, such as the second and final form Freezas, and the Gotenks.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
Hi Mike, could you let me know any good places to buy the HSCF figures from, as I'm intrested in them. In particular figures 5, 14 & 17, I would check ebay but I'm never sure on how to tell fakes and most DBZ figures on the uk version of ebay are bieng shipped from China.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
You're best bet for buying the HSCF would be to check HLJ.com or angolz.com. Ebay is rife with bootlegs so it's probably best to avoid it altogether for these figures. Both of the previous sites only carry the newer releases though so you might have a bit of trouble tracking down the older ones. I'm still missing several of the earlier figures myself, but if you're in a hurry to get them, yahoo Japan auctions will probably have them. You'll need to use an intermediary service however and that can get very expensive.

Thanks, looks like I'll have to wait a few years to get my student load paid off before I attempt to start getting some of the figures.Mike wrote:You're best bet for buying the HSCF would be to check HLJ.com or angolz.com.
