The new Zarbon is a lot better than previous voices, and ended up being my favorite performance of the new episode.

It's so weird hearing Freeza talk formally in the dub.

Any chance someone could post a clip of new Zarbon? I'd love to hear it, based on penguintruth's impressions.
edit: checked out the episode on Nicktoons. I personally think he sounds incredibly bland, but I don't recall the Japanese voice for Zarbon too well. Might match it, but it feels devoid of any acting.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Muuri has a new voice as well; it's no longer Sabat. I wonder what they will call Great Elder/Saichoro and who is actor will be. I have a feeling they will call him "Great Elder Guru" in an effort to please "both sides" and to fit the lip flaps of "Saichoro-sama". I hope they nix the Guru entirely though.

He doesn't exactly have a lot to DO in these scenes. The voice is also smooth, full, and pretty. Just as it should be.

Dodoria is more or less fine, new Zabon is sex for my ears. Seriously, Sabat's version was SOOOOO overdone, the Kai version is easily the best English voice Zarbon's ever had.

Alright I'm getting real excited and thinking ahead here, but does anyone know how far the broadcast will keep showing new episodes before we get reruns?

I'm really hoping they at least get up to episode 40, where we get to see Frieza's final form

Really liking the new Freeza. Also <3 Michael Tatum as Zarbon.

They'll stop just before Goku fights Baata and Jees, then rerun everything before that a bunch of times.

I guess that would be difficult with Kai, since he fights them in the same episode he downs Recoome.

Oh, nostalgia. It was this very incident (resetting to Raditz before Goku fights the Ginyus) that turned me off the dub for good and made me watch the Japanese version solely because it was fully available and the dub was not.

I hope they'll just use "Great Elder" or "Grand Elder", instead of Guru (I really can't stand that name).

Vegeta told Cui that he "thoroughly ticked him off" in episode 20 of the TV version. Gee, wonder if that line will be something else on the Blu ray?

Heh, we should start speculating cuss/dialogue changes on TV eps that have gone beyond the first vol Blu ray/ DVD.

I just hope that awful one liner "KUWI YOU'RE FIRED!" is gone. Maybe if this was a Swartzenager movie I wouldn't mind but...

Yes, I cringed at that line... Anyone know the Japanese line? I know the "Season Two" dub had Vegeta say "See you in Hell Cui...".

Vegeta makes some sort of snide remark about fireworks, in regards to the way he asploded Kwi.

He says "petty fireworks" meaning Kuwi didn't even make a good explosion.

"Hey Kuwi, remember when I said I would kill you last?"

"Th-that's right, Vegeta, y-you did."

"I lied."

I actually liked the, "You're fired." It was funny. It was up there with Kaiou's ringtone.

I'll play devil's advocate here and defend Funi's line, since they basically exchanged what was essentially a one liner (or quip) to begin with, with another. I think the fired line was more clever than talking about fireworks. Also, wouldin't the stereotypical die hard fan complain that Vegeta is an alien that wouldn't know about fireworks?

Come to think of it, Freeza enjoys fireworks too, maybe the dub is saving talk about fireworks for him.
