Looks like Mike is having tollerance problems... but I honestly can't blame him, I am sick and tired of this thread too. Xyex, and Aurek just can't let one another get the last word in.

Just fucking drop it already...

Ah, lost, you're kind of late. It's already been dropped.

Yeah, if you think about it, Budokai 3 had all of Budokai 2's characters EXCEPT the what-if fusions, and absorbsions. Which means that either fans didn't really liked it, or the programmers thought that it was a bad idea to have fictional characters mingle with the "real" ones.
"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".

I hope Dimps is listening (or reading, rather), because I have some ideas for a GT-based Budoukai that would be as accurate to the show as anything they could come up with!

Dragonball GT: Budokai 4.

Characters:
Goku (missing adult form for those who miss 'good' Dragonball)
Goku (annoying child form)
Vegeta
Pan
Embarrasing GT Trunks

...and bunch of other shitty characters no one really remembers. Anyway, the game should follow in the tradition of GT, and thus in Goten and Gohan's story modes, they will both begin with less than zero points of health, while their enemies will be allotted several billion. This ensures that their fight sequences are as close to those from the source material as possible.

Returning characters will also have new special attacks! Tien and Yamcha will both have the power to turn invisible. It will be like you never even knew they existed...

Gohan, Trunks, and Goten will have the incredible ability to state the obvious. This, of course, will use all their Ki. Of which they will have one and a half bars. To make Goku look better. Besides that, they have the amazing skill of shooting generic energy attacks that do NO damage.

Vegeta will be the most overhauled character, with many new gameplay mechanics thrown in. For instance, whenever you play with Vegeta while he has his infamous mustache, "you are a moron" will flash on the screen in bright red, and the PS2 will automatically shut itself off. Another new gameplay mechanic brought into Vegeta's arsenal of... mechanics... is a feature by which whenever a player is about to do something incredibly bad ass while playing Vegeta, like block Omega Shenron's minus energy ball with an attack, Goku will automatically steal his glory! In fact, count on seeing Goku in EVERY FIGHT. This is to make sure the GT experience is never lost.

Speaking of Goku, He (which is how 'He' will be refered to throughout the game), will have several hundred new abilities! The first two worth mentioning are His transformations, which will be added to His modest list of 45. First, will be His "Super Saiyan 4-with-donated-energy-from-idiot-allies" transformation! Why bother letting useless sods like Gohan and Trunks run around with all their meager power when Goku can put it to better use? Lastly will be Goku's "SUPER ACTION! NEVER DEFEATED IS THE ONE GOKU" form, which will be just Goku in His childform, but now inexplicably invulnerable to any attacks. During this transformation, the player will be treated to a cinema in which Pan will note, "Grandpa's like a God!" and all will make merry and rejoice.

As the biggest fan of GT in the world, I hope my dreams come to fruition. To see a good GT game, we must ensure that everything from DB and DBZ is forsaken.

But I wouldn't mind seeing some secret characters added to the mix (the 'Microids' property comes to mind).

Excellent idea for a GT game oponok, but you forgot to mention Piccolo's attacks.

Piccolo? Piccolo's in GT?

Oh, yeah. His special technique... well, he dies. And everyone forgets about him. Then he comes back... then he dies again. Gohan weeps.

But not to show up Krillin, the small, elderly fighter will explode before the fight even commences.

I'm not really attacking GT so much (well, there's that, but...) but I also wanted to bring to attention just how difficult it will be to create a GT game using only GT material. Who does anyone really want to play, besides a few of the returning characters and the oddly popular Pan? Gohan, Goten, and Trunks have no new attacks, and apparently Gohan forgets his tranformations past SSJ1. There's nothing new here that seems worth making a game about, unless they include it into a DBZ game.

I have faith that Dimps is on the right track with the gameplay, but it will be a challenge if they don't use stuff from Z. More power to them if they get it right.

This shouldn't be a topic to bash on GT...

It isn't, but supposing they make a Budoukai game based on GT material, I just don't see that much there.

1) Few characters get new attacks

2) Only two or three new villians worth putting in

3) Many characters removed from the last game's roster (Bardock, Kid Buu, Brolly, Super Buu, Cooler, {Piccolo?}, etc, etc)

4) Gohan loses Mystic and SSJ2 forms

5) And Pan is the only hero added

Unless each character is extremely fleshed out and the gameplay is the best imaginable for a Dragonball game, I don't see much going for it without DBZ content.
